CNN today has a guy talking about Hutchison-Pence. What's your take on it, free pass for illegal aliens or good legislation?

Being against illegal immigration is NOT racism. It is just being sensible about the security of the U.S. of A.. There are way too many whack jobs using the excuse of "looking for work" to get in here to do us wrong. If they are legitimately looking for work, let them come in the right way. As for a free pass, NO SHOW.

They gave amnesty to illegals in 1986 and there are now 12 million. 12 million is four times the size of Chicago. It's more people than many States. 12 million is 1643 people everyday for the last 20 years. That's a small town in Mexico emigrates every day. The worst part is that if the politicians want illegals, likely the 12 million is a very LOW estimate. It could be as high as 20 or 25 million.
No other country permits illegal immigration, especially in a society were there is much social welfare. Mexico is very strict on illegals from Guatamala.

Legitimate grievance. Look at our schools.
Hutchison-Pence is unfettered immigration on top of the illegals already here. Those who don't qualify just wouldn't register, and there are many who will register without having been here previously, and immigration the first few years would be literally unlimited. Meanwhile we will still have all those many many people who will not qualify here illegally.
It also has a path to citizenship bringing right back the schools and services problem that exists now. For example if they have children while here, that is a reason to switch to residence.
We need to LIMIT immigration going forward to protect our schools and services. This would greatly expand it.
This is exactly what I expect from big business. A gloss to pretend it addresses our issues but only more cheap labor comes out in the end. It isn't good for those who want amnesty, but it isn't good for those who want to protect our schools and services, either.

See this is what is wrong..look at the question.

Illegal means against the law. So now it is racist to uphold the law? Good now I will run red lights and sue for racism.
It is legitimate concern and the only reason people call it racist is because they know everyone is so afraid of being called a racist they will let you slit their throat rather than be called a racist. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACISM and to say it does is just a way to make people afraid and mad so no one will look at it logically.
If I broke into your home and then demanded you do things my way, speak my language, and pay for my kids to learn and use your house rules to say you screwed my kids over...is that right? NO it is flat out wrong..I broke into your house, I have no say over your house or what you do and no right to even consider it since I BROKE IN!
Yet for some reason people think it is ok to break into my country, refuse to learn the language spoken and then tell me I have to provide everything in THEIR language, give them medical care for free since they have no social security#, teach their kids, THEN THEY BREAK LAW AGAIN BY, on American soil, PUTTING AMERICAN FLAG UPSIDE DOWN AND UNDERNEATH THE MEXICAN FLAG (should keep on marching with your Mexican flag right back to Mexico) and they want us to rubber stamp them into citizens because why should they wait in line and obey the law like other immigrants had to do?
And for those who claim "My people are from here cause we're native and europeans stole the land" and all that crap...it was hundreds of years ago, get over it, Mexicans stole it from someone too, move on into the future because we are not gonna go backwards just because you have no good arguments besides baseless rhetoric and hate mongering

It is definately a legitimate grievance, illegals take so much out of the country and put very little in, and the fact that they ARE breaking a law by entering, they are for sure criminals and should not be permitted to live here.

Legit. I keep hearing from all those dopes in Washington DC that the US is governed by "The rule of law." Illegals are against the law and it doesn't matter if they're from Mexico or Ireland. Most Americans are law abiding. I don't think it's too much to ask immigrants to be law abiding, as a minimum requirement for living in the US.

The Pence plan always was and always will be a cop out ... if you look at the details, you'll see it's even more liberal to the illegals than anything else on offer just now after the McCain/Kennedy fiasco ... the only thing that is sensible is to stop the dratted illegal immigration dead, build the fence and deport the illegals!! Anything else is just tinkering around the edges and hogwash!!
