You know, I think that if you had ended it with, "On that day I knew God was reaching out to me” that all the religious zealots would be saying that they believe you. However, now that you ended it with, “What kind of a GOD would frighten children and why” suddenly it has to be a fake story. What hypocrites.
My response does not differ though from however you ended it. This image was not of any type of God showing off his powers or scaring kids. This is an example of an optical illusion + scary movie = freaked out kids. It’s the same thing that happens after kids watch scary movies. They start seeing the Freddie in their dreams, or the boogie man in their closet.

First, let me remind u of how God showed his power and presence to people in the Bible: Moses through a burning bush, destruction of Sodom and Gamora by "brimstone and fires from the Lord", Jonah was swalloed by a whale, and every time an angel appeared to someone not in human form, that person would tremble and fall to the ground in fear. Theres nothing in the Bible that said that when God shows himself he'll be wrapped in a pretty robe, holding a puppy, with long flowing hair, and a big smile! Now that being said, there is a possibility that this was a coincidence, we are not puppets and God does not influence "everything" that happens in life. But, if you believe it wasn't a coincidence, (and I don't question it happened)then consider this. How lucky for you, you saw proof of a living God! Few people in history ever see such an event where God manifest himself for us to see, which allow these people proof of his existence. Christianity is based on "faith", or, "belief with lack of physical evidence or proof", this is how God intended it to be. If everything happened as you say it did, then I believe that you saw a miraculous sign, not meant to scare, but to show that He was real. And if you still think that He was wrong contemplate this. Our understanding is so miniscule to God's..So instead of questioning why he chose to show himself this way, I think I would be focused on "it did", and remember that it did. Here you are asking about it how many years later?, which means it stuck in your head! It probably stuck with everyone of those other boys' heads as well. It served its purpose maybe b/c you will never forget!! And maybe it happened so you would one day try to find out why to bring you closer to God. We don't always know nor should know why.We only get one shot, it's called life, look at it as a long term investment. Peace. Let me know what your thoughts are. Net_class82.

Ain't trying to Meddle, but I have followed your Question's for a while----what Impresse's me is that you seem to have a real strong desire inside to do something concerning GOD. Maybe you got ticked off at HIM or maybe you didn't. Now you tell this story about Meteor.
IF i had to Guess, (don't hold me to it, could be wrong)
GOD has called you since Birth, and the Devil has Lied to you for Year's---you just can't seem to get the Right Info concerning all of this in your Life.
The Enemy will keep you away from GOD as long as you let him (Devil).
Like I said, I think you have a CALLING on your LIFE, and you just haven't got it Right yet.
GOD Love's you no matter what.
Devil hate's you, and alway's will.
May you find your GOD given Calling, in JESUS's NAME.
Sincerely hope this helps.
p.s. The Devil is called the Prince of the Power of the AIR---yeh, he can scoot a meteor across the Sky too.

the only thing God has to do with this is that he granted you children a strong imagination. have you ever came to think that what would happened if you have watched a funny movie instead of The Ten Commandments the night before???

You witnessed a series of coincidences, no more.
I have seen meteors approachingt me directly (glow bright, don't move, or hardly move, then fizzle out) It doesn't mean that God was aiming at me but didn't throw hard enough. Enjoy your observations. God is whatever He is and will do whatever He wants.

If your story is accurate (I am not confirming or denying it), be aware that the 'frighten' part is your reaction, not God's requirement. Second, like anger, 'frighten' has an energy that occurs with it. How you use that energy is up to you.

My question to you is - why are you blaming God for that? God doesn't do things that scare - someone else does. Don't blame God for everything just because you don't understand something that happens.
