Do you prefer the G3 / G36 or the M4?

To all US military personal which has been in Germany: You have certainly seen and probably fired the German assault rifle G3 or G36. How do you like it?

I haven't fired the G36, but the G3 is awkward and it's sighting system is unorthodox.

The M-4 is a very simple user friendly weapon. I'd prefer AR-10's though because it has high caliber .308 / 7.62 NATO ammunition, and it is the same basic design as the M-4 series of Rifles.
