no, you get blood poisioning as soon as it bursts and become dangerously ill there and then.

The most serious complication of appendicitis is rupture. The appendix bursts or tears if appendicitis is not diagnosed quickly and goes untreated. Infants, young children, and older adults are at highest risk. A ruptured appendix can lead to peritonitis and abscess. Peritonitis is a dangerous infection that happens when bacteria and other contents of the torn appendix leak into the abdomen. In people with appendicitis, an abscess usually takes the form of a swollen mass filled with fluid and bacteria. In a few patients, complications of appendicitis can lead to organ failure and death. Mortality and severe complications are unusual but do occur, especially if peritonitis persists untreated.

ABSOLUTLY NO, unless it was treated.
A ruptured appendix is very common in the ER, and with the antibiotics available these days most people recover just fine after an appendectomy and series of antibiotics.
If you are talking about walking around with a ruptured appendicitis, that is ridiculus. Peritonitis (infection of the abdomen) or sepsis (whole body infection of the blood), would set in probably within an hour, or depending on the size of the rupture a few hours at most. Then you would spike a fever, your heart rate would rise as your breathing increased, your body's immune system would go crazy trying to fight the infection and finally your blood pressure would drop as your heart began to fail and you would go into septic shock and die. All the while having INTENSE pain in the belly.
(not to mention a hole in your appendix means that bile "poop" is potentially continually flowing into your gut.)

Most likely not with out treatment. My friend had her appendix rupture and she was comatose for a month but then she started to get better. It was a very long process but she is alive and well today.

That is such a serous thing whoa and painful and sick feeling.
I went to the hospital for my appendix Its a pretty bad feeling.

No, but I had a grumbling appendix for about a year before my doctor rushed me into hospital for an appendectomy. Get it checked, not on here, with a doctor.

well if it is you, and your appendix ruptured 5 months ago and you are on here now then obviously you can be.
on the other hand, the doctor may have got it wrong?

no basicly when they burst you have a short time to be operated on my sister had this and is very lucky to be alive she was on a drip draining the poison out, she was near death,

umm highly doubtful but i guess.. anything is possible you know? i mean its probably not very good.. you should probably go to the hospital and make sure you havent been dead for 5 months..
