It is our nature to strive to be better than we are. This is a very good quality when used to the right ends. ie: Children wanting to learn to do things themselves shows and encourages independence. ie: Doctors wanting to treat their patients has meant the development of incredible advances in medical science. However, used in a selfish way or with greed as it's root cause, striving for what we do not have causes war, crime etc. etc. If you read your Bible, you'll remember that Adam and Eve lived in a paradise where all their needs were met and yet they desired things they thought would be more advantageous and look at the mess we're in because of it!

It is human tendency from the ignorance of the actual meaning and applicability of life, to crave for everything and 'everything' could not be limited to any boundary drawn to it.

Well, I would like to have the earth's environment restored to it's healthier state. The world will never be perfect, so we will always be wanting something.

Because human beings fear death. People surround themselves with "things" to make them feel more secure about life.

We don't have everything. We haven't achieved the perfection of Eden again. Of course, I also don't ask God for things. God helps those who help themselves.
