Most balls on sale today have about 300 to 450 dimples. There were a few balls having over 500 dimples before. The record holder was a ball with 1,070 dimples -- 414 larger ones (in four different sizes) and 656 pinhead-sized ones. All brands of balls, except one, have even-numbered dimples. The only odd-numbered ball on market is a ball with 333 dimples.

A golf ball usually has anywhere from 330 to 500 dimples - depending on which company designs the ball.
The ideal ball will usually have between 380 and 432 dimples.

A few years back that number was 336,But now balls can have up to 400 and still be legal and there are many different balls with the number of dimples between 336 and 400.

336 i know this for sure i took a red marker and counted and dotted all dimples so i would not count them more than once.

HONESTLY WHY IN THE HELL WOULD I EVEN START TO COUNT THE DIMPLES WHEN IM GOING TO HIT THE DAMN THING DOWN THE GREEN AND KNOCK SOME OFF!!LOL
