Well the advantages are: no glasses, no switching from glasses to sunglasses, no searching for glasses to see something, remembering where you put your glasses, no marks on your nose.......The disadvantages are: incorrect fit, eyes are not wet enough and you have to constantly put drops in your eyes, debris in your eyes, putting them in, cleaning them, cost, infections, constant monitoring by eye Dr. (cost), scratching of eye lens. I wore contacts for a year and switched back to glasses because I was tired of buying all of the solutions, drops, cleaners, and seeing the Dr. all the time. Hope this helps. Good luck!

You can choose from so many kind of contact lenses these days. I use one-day lenses. The advantage about them is that you get a fresh new pair every day, and you don't have to worry about cleaning them. The disadvantage is that you cant see in the mornings until you get to a sink and a mirror (only a problem if you are camping). One day lenses are really easy to get used to (though in the beginning it is a bit tricky to put something in your eyes). There can be a higher risk of getting eye infections when using contacts, but if you wash your hands probably it is not a high risk.

I have no idea what the advantages are for having contact lenses, but I over heard a specialist tell someone that they can not be worn all the time, because you eyes need oxygen there fore they are only for temporary use. With the frames out there and all they can do with them consider them a fashion statement to wear the newest and latest frames.

whether u need contacts or not depends on ur eyesight. if u need to wear thick glasses which is very uncomfortable and uncool, u can go for contacts. else u can choose a trendy frameless or any other style glasses which r very coool. bcoz it is not that easy to bear two foreign bodies in s sensitive organ like the eye, all the time

advantages: you don't look like a nerd, they don't fog up because of temp. changes, you have good peripheral vision too, 1 pair is good for at least a year depending on wear and tear & prescription changes

disadvantages: cleaning them stinks, if you lose one while you're out and about you have too look out one eye, if you forget to take them out it feels like taking slivers out of your eye, need to be replace several times a year

I've used just contacts in the last 9 years, only using regular glasses during bed time.. i like my contacts, but I also am thinking about getting better glasses and switch them more frequently.. too much of either seems to tire my eyes.. blur things up

I have been wearing contacts for 22 years and never had any trouble with them, the newer ones are definitely better, I have the accuview 2 now with hydravision and they are the best I have ever worn. they are disposable which takes the grief out of cleaning them all the time. try them, they may not be for you but they may, my son wears them for months at a time before taking them out for a new pair.( I have told him I don't like it) but they seem to be comfortable for him soooooo..........
