All the way through it says "him" but don't forget "Her" too....
Your alarm goes off; you hit the snooze and sleep for another 10 minutes.
He stays up for days on end.
-- --
You take a warm shower to help you wake up.
He goes days or weeks without running water.
-- --
You complain of a "headache", and call in sick.
He gets shot at, as others are hit, and keeps moving forward.
-- --
You put on your anti war/"don't support the troops" shirt, and go meet up with your friends.
He still fights for your right to wear that shirt.
-- --
You make sure your cell phone is in your pocket.
He clutches the cross hanging on his chain next to his dog tags.
-- --
You talk trash on your "buddies" that aren't with you.
He knows he may not see some of his buddies again.
-- --
You walk down the beach, staring at all the pretty girls.
He walks the streets, searching for insurgents and terrorists.
-- --
You complain about how hot it is.
He wears his heavy gear, not daring to take off his helmet to wipe his brow.
-- --
You go out to lunch, and complain because the restaurant got your order wrong.
He does not get to eat today.
-- --
Your maid makes your bed and washes your clothes.
He wears the same things for months, but makes sure his weapons are clean.
-- --
You go to the mall and get your hair redone.
He doesn't have time to brush his teeth today.
-- --
You are angry because your class ran 5 minutes over.
He is told he will be held an extra 2 months.
----
You call your girlfriend and set a date for that night.
He waits for the mail to see if there is a letter from home.
-- --
You hug and kiss your girlfriend, like you do everyday.
He holds his letter close and smells his love's perfume.
-- --
You roll your eyes as a baby cries.
He gets a letter with pictures of his new child, and wonders if they'll ever meet.
-- --
You criticize your government, and say that war never solves anything.
He sees the innocent tortured and killed by their own government and remembers why he is fighting.
-- --
You hear the jokes about the war, and make fun of the men like him.
He hears the gun fire and bombs.
-- --
You see only what the media wants you to see.
He sees the bodies lying around him.
-- --
You are asked to go to the store by your parents. You don't.
He does what he is told.
-- --
You stay at home and watch TV.
He takes whatever time he is given to call and write home, sleep, and eat.
-- --
You crawl into your bed, with down pillows, and try to get comfortable.
He crawls under a tank for shade and a 5 minute nap, only to be woken by gun fire.
-- --
You sit there and judge him, saying the world is a worse place because of men like him. If only there were more men like him.

We the surfers of cyber world meet with so many people every day. Surfing the net is the best pastime one can ever develop, as internet has the most knowledge, a surfer will never have to wait for a answer. The vast knowledge of cyber world is nothing as compared to the cyber society that it gives. Internet is a community but so vast that we need a place to make conversation easy. What more can be better than a chat room for this purpose, well a chat room and a message board along with a forum is the best combination really. I was actually looking for a place where we can find all these things with a profile and photo brouse option. Finally I got this site, this place is a very nice community where we can share every thing online. And also about the leader board, I must tell it is great. The thought of the leader board is unique, as not to many people has thought about this thing. And the method of getting the leader is very different and one must check out this site once. The cyber culture is growing, and it is about time that we find our club and that to a very different club, which is not a part of any big website house like the yahoo and google. This site am talking about has every thing that a cyber surfer ever wants. This is the website address, http://www.friendscyberclub.com/ Features of this site is: 1) chatting 2) view profiles and photos 3) upload your photos and make a cool profile. 4) your message board 5) forum 6) See your name on the leader board. There are also many more features available in the site, free to join.

That was really amazing. I cried and it takes a lot for me to cry!
I wish that a posting like this would really make someone who hates the Military stop and think about what they say and realize how horrible it is, but that's just not going to happen. I think it's bad when someone who has never had any experience with the Armed Forces makes comments that the troops get what they deserve, and call them baby killers. Many people are convinced if a service member doesn't want to go to war, then they just shouldn't go. They don't understand it just doesn't work like that! And if they do go AWOL, they will go to jail. And I really can't understand former Military members criticizing our troops. If anyone should understand the position these men and women are put in, and know what the rules of the Military are, it should be former Vets, but I see many of them saying horrible stuff too!
I know what a wonderful, loving, unselfish husband I have, and he is truly one of the best people I have ever met in my life, and I know he has proudly served this Country for years. He is nothing like what these anti Military people claim our Armed Force members are like. I get more angry then he does when someone is disrespectful towards the Military. He usually says that people are entitled to feel how they want to feel, and he wants to continue serving to make sure people get to keep that right. (He is much more understanding then I am)
The only thing we can do is continue our support for these men and women, and the support shouldn't stop when they come back from Iraq. Our Military needs to be supported all the time! It doesn't matter if they are in the Iraqi war, out in the middle of the sea, or in a little office on some base, these are the people who risk their lives to ensure our future and the futures of our children.

Ive read that before, always nice to see again tho.
I dont know why so many people do that. First off, if it wasnt for the service men and women, they wouldnt be able to do it. Secondly, whether they support the war or not, everyone over there fighting is someones brother, sister, son or daughter, or spouse etc. Have some freaking compassion I say. They believe whole heartedly in what they are doing over there.
I myself dont support the war, or Bush for that matter, but I thank my lucky stars each day for the men and women in the service and ask that they all remain safe and come home soon.

Where in the world are you getting this cr*p. No matter what people feel about the war everyone takes their hats off to the men and women fighting this crazy war. You took a lot of room to preach to the choir dear. This is the silliest thing I've seen on here today.

First off to all this is a must read. To the writer that is an incredible way of telling about our military. You should sent that to military.com Anyways to answer our question the reason I believe is because of our media. They are totally against what this administration is doing and that is why you hear only one side. So everyone just watches tv and doesnt really try to get involved in figure out what the truth is. Some are spoiled, some are ignorant, some don't care but there are some that just don't understand our enemie, like Michael Moore, Cindy Sheehan, Al Sharpton just to name a few, they all say that we are doing to wrong thing, some go as far as to say that the people our troops are fighting are freedom fighters. I guess if you want to look at it that way they are freedom fighters, they fight against the freedom of religion, the freedom to vote, the freedom to wear what you wanna wear, the freedom to say what you want to say, and the freedom of the pursuit of happiness. They do not want that they want women dressed in black clothes that cover their entire body, they want everyone to believe what they want to believe, they want democracy to be destroyed. The people who degrade our troops and the ones that do not support them whether by not sending packages or just by makeing fun of our troops or who critisize our troops for the decisions they make, they all just dont understand our enemie and what are enemies agenda is. Thank you for saying what you have said about me and the rest of my commrades it is inspiring. Semper Fi.

I've read this before and enjoyed it alot. If all young people would have to serve just 2 years, no matter want color, nationality, or your social status, just think how America would be. Respect, Honor, and Manners would not be a question in their vocabulary.

I admire all our service men and women, and I think we all owe them a huge debt.
It is the government we should hold accountable when we wage wars that we do not agree with. The military personnel are only doing the job they were instructed to do.
No soldier should ever return to this country feeling unwelcome or unappreciated!!!

I don't know about other branches of the military but, women are not allowed in the marine corps infantry. so i would venture to guess that is why it always says "him". I'm not assuming that women aren't in infantry in other parts of the military, I'm just saying women aren't allowed, to my knowledge
