i cant change my desktop theme and destop picture from a piture i ve downloaded from a web site.cant delete it

my desktop picture is the picture of cherry and i m trying to change that thrgh desktop properties and control panel and all but the cherry picture is not cahanging at all.the cherry picture is noware in my computer files so that i can delete that.eventough the cherry is my desktop when i take properties the ,picture i tried to put is showing in the box,.if the cherry comes in the box i can delete the picture of cherry

Ok, you should be able to take these steps to change your background out on your desktop...
Right click on your mouse on a clear spot on your desktop for properties...
Then what should appear is a box that says display properties, themes, desktop, screensaver, appearance, and settings...

If you click on the word desktop, you should find a whole list of pictures to choose from that came with your computer even if you haven't installed anything yourself...

There should be several pictures to choose from there and you should pick something to use, then click on apply at the bottom of the box, then click on OK to set your choice...
