The appendix is a vestigial organ which was kinda of like a pouch when we had more of a herbivore diet know its become very small and it has no use.
its a section of the intestine and when say food gets stuck well it causes an infection and it swells up. if not treated it could burst and you could very well die due to the internal hemorrhage.

Appendicitis is one of those things that really has no particular cause. It is jsut a small section of you intestine(The part of you that digests food and asborbs the nutrients for your cells) that may have had a function at one time,but one longer does. It can get aggrivated, it may not, and if it gets to aggrevated it needs to be removed or it will rupture and posion your body. Some people go their whole life and it causes them no problems, some others it can start being finicky int heir early teens. Sign of it being upset are elevated Amylase and Lipase levels in the blood which can be tested for in under an hour in any ER when you go in with Abdominal pain.

Appendicitis is the inflamation of the appendix. The appendix is a vestigial(no longer useful) oragan that was more useful in the digestive tract of prehistoric man. Back in the days when man ate more raw meat. These days our digestive tracts have adapted to food that is cooked and cleaned, however the appendix still gets filled with poisons and flares up. When this happens the appendix will soon rupture and you can be poisoned from the inside out. Oh and it is about the size of a finger.

eating too much fruit seeds would only cause indigestion but not appendicitis. Appendiditis is caused when the appendix gets infected , if not removed in time the appendix might burst and in certain cases if undetected causes death due to appendix burst !
By the way Appendix has no function in our body whatsoever and is also called the vestigial organ!

the appendix is like a tiny reservoir in your intestine. there, all the remanings that don't come out get stuck. it's like a trash can pretty much. seeds and other things easily get stuck inthere. that's why people say don't swallow your gum cuz you'll get appendicitis. when the "trash can" is full, you get appendicitis, so you have to go to a doctor and get surgery done, or it could cause huge complications, leading to death.....
