It is not that people die and come back to tell the experience....In fact some people survive the "near death" experiences and they tell their "near death" moments.

Near death experience: An experience which takes place when a person is legally dead or in arrest. Each Near Death Experience is unique to the person having it, but many similarities have been noted. Most report a feeling of "floating away" from their bodies or remember viewing their bodies from afar. Many report seeing loved ones that have passed away, meeting God or Christ, or a classic "light at the end of the tunnel" scenario. NDEs can be a positive or 'heaven-like' experience or a hellish and dark experience. Most that have had a NDE report a life-changing experience that sometimes totally change their outlook on life.

I personally know two people who have had this experience. They said the experience dramatically altered their lives for the better.

In fact, I just had coffee yesterday with a guy I met who had a life-after-death experience. He died on the operating table and was floating around looking down at his dead body. He flew out (his spirit) to the hallway of the hospital where his relatives where talking about him. When he came back to life and was recovering in a room, he told his relatives what he heard them talking about him and they said, "What! How could you know?! You were dead!"

Have you had a similar experience or are you just curious?

People have experiences sometimes when they are "near death" that make them feel like they died and came back, but I believe that it's just chemicals in their brains playing games with them. There are actually some operating rooms in some universities that have laptops mounted to the ceiling that have pictures scrolling on them. They are waiting for a "near death" patient to tell them what was on the monitor when they had their out of body experience. But nobody has done it yet.

There are numerous websites catering to this phenomenon. Do a Google search on NDE (Near Death Experience). There have been some accounts of people dead for several days and still came back to life.

I was pronounced dead two times in my life and I came back within a few minutes, both times. All I can say is that it felt like there were no worries and that the weight of the world's pain and grief left me feeling like there was never any in the first place-kinda like I had never felt them. I do think that life was worth continuing though, after those experiences.

Yes. It has happened to lots of people. Check out this link. Its a movie of someone who died after multiple stings from a jelly fish, but was later resuscitated. I only watched the first half, the end turned a bit born-again preachy so I lost interest, but the actual experience he had was pretty cool.

Actually, some do. I've heard about it. Although not all people who die come back to tell about it.

.......no its not true and if they died they would not come back.....I fell 8 feet straight down onto a 4" metal bar breaking 4 ribs right in half not cracked but right apart.......they had me on all the wires and filled with morphine that first night....and i remember specifically being out of body watching nurses work with paddles 2 revive me......i kid u not......but what was it ?
...the weirdest part was that 7 nights before the accident i was sitting in my kitchen and had a weird spiritual feeling of being spoken 2 in my head....no voice out loud.....that PLAINLY somehow said that i was totally loved and forgiven 4 everything i had done and i really could FEEL a blanket of PURE LOVE and understanding envelop me
and i thought after it left me......what the hell was that.....but it felt real good and comforting and like out of body......and then the BAD fall......so who knows.....but change me ....NO.....not really.....im still screwed like everyone else
