firstly you dont have to have had your period to get highlights done.i would go for very light blond highlights if i had brown hair.if i was you i would wait until i am a little older to get them done.the reason being once you start you will have to keep getting them done.

I don't know what getting your period has to do with your hair. I don't think it has anything to do with it at all. If you want to get your hair done just do it. If you have dark brown hair then it would probably look best with some dark blonde or light brown highlights. Don't go overboard though cause then it doesn't look very natural.

I'm almost 12 and haven't started my period and i have dyed and highlighted my hair lots a times! Don't be afraid i did it and i look great !
Go ahead and do it now dirty blonde would look great in your hair better than a light brown but it would look okay!

honestly I've never heard that you had to have your period before doing anything with your hair. I actually did day care for a while & one of the mothers BLEACHED her 5 your old's hair all the time(I do NOT reccomend that!!). At 12 you are still a bit young to be dying your hair. Just remember dyed hair does tend to dry out easier, just keep your hair very well conditioned(deep condition at least once a month) & have it trimmed every 6 to 8 weeks to remove the split ends so your hair will look healthier.

that is a myth, you can color your hair at any age, and mentruation has nothing to do with it, boys don't menstruate but have hi lights. Loreal has many hi lights to choose from, get the box that says for med to dark brown hair, have help available to pull the hair through the cap, and follow timing instructions. good luck you can do it!

ok soo first of all you dont have to start your menstral cycle to do anything to your hair and im warning you, before you do this appreaciate how fine and undamaged your hair is now because you will get alot more highlights in the future and im serious it really ruins your hair, and if you have brown hair get like a lighter brown because it makes your hair look natural and dont do foil wrap do the cap kind it is better. good luck . and if you want to do foil wrap get it professionaly done.

I've never heard that you have to wait to get your period to do anything to your hair. I had many perms before I was your age and I didn't have my period. You can get highlights now!!! :)
