Have you ever thought about this?

53Thinkest thou that I cannot now pray to my Father, and he shall presently give me more than twelve legions of angels?" Matthew 25:53 The Holy Bible.

Yes I have thought about this.

Let's consider one of the guys that made the Bible what it is today.

King James, King of England 1600's, needed to keep a country united and in control. When succeding his flamboyant Aunt Elizabeth to the throne he had a huge problem. He was Scottish and the English hated the Scots. His mother was also Mary Queen of Scots, a catholic who was beheaded by his beloved Auntie.

His solution? Hold the catholic church in contempt and put a bible in every persons hand. In 1611 he did just that and won over a nation.

Since he was only fluent in Greek, Latin, French,English and Scot and the bible was written in Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic I imagine a talk with his tranlators going something like this.

" Hey guys, when you tranlate that can you make sure that you put the fear of God into the English people so they know that my will is Gods will. Make them understand that if Jesus could call for twelve legions of angels at a seconds notice, Imagine what I can do as Gods chosen vessel."

With a passage translated that way in the bible a king could easly use it as an excuse to war with folks and have it okay because "God is on my side."

Religion is often used to control huge populations and King James and his bible are a beautiful example of it.

God doesn't require anything. However, as an expression of love, he allows angels, and by extention faithful humans, to carry out his will.

Think of a father working on a project who allows his son to help him on a woodworking project. Although he could do a much better job than his inexperienced son, the father derives joy from watching his son work with him and helping him along. As the son progresses and becomes a capable worker, the father now finds joy and pride in watching his son do work with the same quality and speed that he would have done the work.

In fact, in the Bible, a similar situation is expressed about God training Jesus during the creation of the world. Described as "Wisdom" personified, Jesus tells us:

(Proverbs 8:22-31) 22 “Jehovah himself produced me as the beginning of his way, the earliest of his achievements of long ago. 23 From time indefinite I was installed, from the start, from times earlier than the earth. ... 30 then I came to be beside him as a master worker, and I came to be the one he was specially fond of day by day, I being glad before him all the time, 31 being glad at the productive land of his earth, and the things I was fond of were with the sons of men.

In the same vein, God also derives joy by watching his servants keep their integrity during difficult situations, when other would give up.

(Proverbs 27:11) 11 Be wise, my son, and make my heart rejoice, that I may make a reply to him that is taunting me.

Not only that, but humans also need a purpose in life to be happy. By using us to do his will, we, along with the angels, find happiness in having a purpose for our existance!

(Matthew 5:3) 3 “Happy are those conscious of their spiritual need, since the kingdom of the heavens belongs to them.

So, he doesn't NEED help, but he finds joy in our serving him and we find happiness in having a purpose in life.

He created Angels to Worship him. {Allah is He as well Whom there is not any god, the Ever-residing, the Self-Subsisting with the help of Whom all subsist; close eye does no longer overtake Him nor sleep; even with is contained in the heavens or maybe with is contained in the earth is His; who's he that could intercede with Him yet with the help of His permission? He is prevalent with what's in the previous them and what's in the back of them, and they couldn't understand something out of His understanding except what He pleases, His understanding extends over the heavens and the earth, and the safe practices of them both tires Him no longer, and he's the most intense, the large.}* (Al-Baqarah 2:255)

Good question. An all loving god creating an army to do his bidding. Odd isn't it?

Because he's very sensitive and likes drama and wants to make things all theatrical.

He gets offended easily too, have you noticed that? I think he have bipolar disorder.
