What is the difference beteewn a good Muslim and a bad one?

The good Muslims are those who would stand up and condemn Islamic extremists and Islamic terrorism, unequivocally, without any "and," "if," or "but."

It's time for Muslims to take accountability for their religion and culture. Stop spinning, and address the fact that the Muslim culture is one of the most oppressive and violent cultures, against its own people, and certainly against other cultures.

For those who believe that the extremist element in Islam is small, the numbers are staggering. There are 1.2 billion Muslims in this world. Lets take a very liberal view that only a very small percentage of Muslims are exterme, while the rest of the Muslim world is very peaceful. So if only 10% of Muslims have extreme point of views, and may be a threat, and must be dealt with, meaning dealing with 120 million Muslims! How about 1%? Then you must deal with 12 million Muslims. How about 1/10 of a percent? Then you must deal with 1.2 million Muslims. The numbers are staggering! How do you propose dealing with even the "very low" figures of 1.2 million Muslim extremists?

It would be to the benefit of the World to rid of Hezbollah, Hamas, the Syrian and Iranian regime. It must be done to finally have a chance for peace in the region.

The right picture of lslam is conveyed in the Qur'an, which is exemplified by Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The reality is that it is not fair to judge a religion by the actions of its followers alone because there are good and bad followers in every religion. The correct thing to do is to judge a religion by its documented revelation from God and the prophet who brought that revelation.

I encourage Christians and other religions to learn about Islam from Muslim sources and The Basis Of The Muslim Belief and not rely on second hand information which in many cases is distorted or contains a deep seated anti Muslim agenda. This is indeed a more scholarly approach. I think any one will not accept from his enemy to give informations to the world about his life and his belief

It is the same between you and me.
The only thing that is present is religion.
It teaches all the good things we must do and the bad things we must not do.
To be accepted and embrace the religion does not automatically stamp one as a good guy. Some get it into their head and want to judge and impose on others by thinking all but themselves are bad. And therefore have to be wipe off the earth.
They keep on believing in this and if they wipe us all off eventually they have no one else but themselves and they would wipe themselves off as they always have the believe that they are better and holier than their neighbour.
Religion is like a gun. It is suppose to be neutral.
In a good hand it can be a weapon for self defence and with good intentions, in a bad hand it can cause destruction from bad intentions.

I regret to say that we are all bad and our children will pay the price if we do not turn around. I must tell everyone fist that the Bible goes for the Muslin too as a holy book and so Jesus. They think of him as a prophet too and that's good. My Muslim friends goes to Christian churches too sometimes, but they prefer to meet the God, Allah in the nature and not in buildings made by man. Jesus said so, didn't he about his Father? Stop blaming Muslims for the terrorism, normally they have absolutely nothing to do with it and do certainly NOT like it at all as both you and me I presume. The terrorism, is the poor mans answer to poverty and it have been taken place too in Europe during hundreds of years as a protest against living conditions and they were Christians. Clean up in front of our door fist and that one who has the cleanest doorway, throw the fist stone if you dare when it will be tidy enough.

Great Question!!! I often wonder. To the fundamentalist Muslim, a good Muslim may be defined as one who will strap on a bomb and blow up as many as he could in the name of Allah. Other Muslims may think that a good Muslim will spread Peace and Love throughout the world. Yes???

I think the difference is when one of them become soo crazy and obsessed with religion. But don't be foolish to think just Muslims are like that, I know catholics sooo obsessed with religion that may be they don't kill people but they rape kids, I know Christians soooooo obsessed with religion that they believe God will punish cities or countries for not believe in God or they believe that Killing presidents (lets be more specific Rev. Pat whatever his name is) is the right choice.....well I can go on and on, It's all about people doing the wrong thing, blaming stupidity to religion.

I can't agree with their religion period because it states in the Koran that they SHOULD beat their women. And they are supposed to treat women basically like property.

However I should state that there are underlying problems with almost every religion. For example, Christians many hundreds of years ago banned the eating of pork, saying it was unholy. Why? Because Pork farmers got together and decided not to pay church tariffs.

Also the whole "giving X% to the church" in many religions is really lame. I can't picture Jesus saying to poor people, I know you can't eat, but you should give part of whatever you have to the church, they need new golden candle holders.

A good Muslim will read and take what the Koran says into his (or her) heart. A bad one will not, and the worst of these will use that Holy Book to justify all sorts of atrocities.

A good Muslim is a good neighbor, a good father/mother/son/daughter..etc. A good Muslim is someone who doesn't lie, isn't a hypocrite, doesn't swear, someone your safe around. Someone who preforms his religious duties for God ,not for show. A good citizen, is a witness to truth, forbids evil, and promotes good. This applies to being good towards Muslims and Non-Muslims.

The main difference is between the Shiites and the Sunnis. The shiites are more radical and are the ones that generally will be terrorists. Sunnis are usually not as committed to the religion, and may even be looking for something else.
