question, I get hardly any responses at all. Are the religious people who post here really that superficial? Is ignorance of ones own theology widespread? If religion is important to people, why do they not give it more serious thought (in general)? Is it more about the feeling then the facts? Cutting and pasting answers from websites is not the same as thinking.

How about cutting and pasting my OWN previous answers, since so many people ask the same questions over and over and over again????

That is called efficiency and practicality. Even cutting from other sources can be acceptable if it really addresses the question, and is not simply some vaguely related scripture or quote in need of interpretation.

You sound so angry. I am sorry for your anger. I happen to be one of the Christians that post on this site and I do my best to study the scriptures and give answers based on what scripture says. I also always try to give the scripture references with my answer. I also know there are other Christians on this site that do the same. Sadly, I also know there are many people that answer questions on this site in the name of Christianity that are not true Christians. That is one of the reasons that even though you can ask questions and get answers on here you would always show yourself to be a wise person if YOU study your Bible so as to learn the what is truth and what is not. The Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:15: "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth." It says much beyond that also.

Study the Word. You will learn, you will grow, your faith will grow. John 8:31b-32 says: "If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.

Parotting - the act of embracing and re-enacting the factualities provided by a previous generation.

That's why we don't want the gene of termites were all the information is passed on directly into the brain.

Anyway - theology is an advanced level of study, it began as a branch of philosophy; and thus, to truly understand it you have to understand philosophy. However, to understand philosophy you have to know history, science, mathematics, and to an extent the language which you're speaking in.

Because Christian doctrine instills fear of science and history, and it has been around for so long - you have many people that could never even dream of getting past those basics, and thus, to discuss theology with someone that is a religious zealot is more than often like speaking with a Parakeet.

Most Atheists are also parotting the more intelligent people, attempting to become intelligent in the process. However, "beating the curve" of anything is very difficult in life - and thus, most get trapped in a stubborn hateful notion towards religion without understanding why.

Most higher ups in religion, know, but keep it to themselves because they agree with one thing that most theologists can agree with: religion, even with the bad, is still a good method of control and income. Most people agree that complete freedom would be catastrophic, and with that, you kind of just agree and go on teaching parakeets how to perform tricks.

I think it's because those of us who would like to have a deeper theological discussion have gotten so fed up with the grade-school antics of the overwhelming majority of posts here that we've moved on to pastures that have a better signal-to-noise ratio.

I know when I first started reading here I was answering several questions and putting a lot of thought into them. But the past few days I check the section and it's 98% crap questions, or spam from the idiot who's cutting and pasting the same message under different headers, that I hardly bother looking for the deep questions anymore.

I went and looked at many of your questions and most of them are not complex theological questions. AndI do give serious thought to the questions I answer. Most atheists don't put any thought into their questions or answers, they are just out there to slam Christians. There are many "spiritual" people out there that make up their own ideas about God and they always just come up with something random. If the answer is correct does it matter if it was cut and pasted? I'll try to check out some of your questions.

I don't know about your 'toilet' questions. To be honest, if I read a question that sounded derogatory, I would most likely have passed on it unless I was really angry then I would have been on a roll. The problem with that is, it would be my anger speaking to you and not my heart, mind or soul. Kind of a double edged sword there.

This question didn't really pose a question as much as a statement. What it did do though was give me a chance to stop and think.

Perhaps if the question was not stated in a defensive or not overly complex manner, you would get more and hopefully better answers.

I'm not trying to sound mean-spirited, but I hope my response helped.

Religion thrives in darkness, and with education religion fades. This is why the most educated countries in the world have extremely low Christian populations. Japan has less than 1% Christians!

Most religious zealots know very little about their religion. They were raised that way, so it must be. They never think about the ideas of others, or the concept that maybe they might be wrong.

I am glad to say I was not among the toilet-bunch.

What was the question you had asked? I'd be glad to answer it, if I could. :)
