I am a 13 year old boy. Sorry if I sound like a girl a little, my voice hasn't fully matured. I will sing I believe I can Fly. Also, I forgot to put the lens on the camera. I won't sound very good because I have only been practicing scales and pitch for 13 days. I am going to join the school chorus to improve my voice. What should I work on?

Don't force your sound. Get in there and get practice. I have heard much worse. However, you have to train your air. You are not the worst singer I have heard. And you are 13. I have been a professional singer for 2 years. I started singing at a very young age. Do not give up. Get as much help as you can. Did you listen to your recording. Keep listening to your recording even after you get a vocal coach. A school chorus does not give you enough one on one. Get a vocal coach and take individual lessons as well as joining the chorus. Listen to the coaches. If you do what they say and accept the critisism he/she gives you you will improve immensely. They can not improve your voice only help. The improvement only comes from the work you put into it.

I'm a singer. Do not read the rude remarks from the other people who answered this question. I honestly think that you chose the wrong song. Almost anyone can sing. It does take practice. Try writing your own songs, I find that if you can't hit higher notes, then sing or write a song that is within your own singing limits. When I was a child I used to try and sing with Mariah Carey, but as I got older, I realized my singing style is more like Janis Joplin. Try another song.

Yes and I am sure you love music as I do. Practicing scales and pitch for longer time would help you to improve your voice. Remember you are still young and still have a long time to go. Enjoy your music and don't give up singing. I used to use piano/ keyboard to accompany with me during practicing singing. Thats helpful.

ok well to be honest, you need to work on your voice. I've been singing for 5 years in a church choir, and a 1 year for church masses at my church. I've been singing for a while, and I'm not perfect. I know that you can't expect to be perfect within 13 days. You should also consider taking voice lessons. And ask your school chorus director to help you out. Hope this helps! Thanks. you could contact me if you have any questions! Thanks

LOL music critique is always the hardest to hear, everyone becomes there own simon cowell, keep working at it, I used to sing Indian classical music years ago, its great voice training, however I didn't stick with it.

You sing like you are talking to someone might be a good idea to work on that and work on singing louder that makes a big difference if you sing from your diafram.
