Flower: Pizza delivery is listed as a hazardous job with the US government. Delivery drivers are third most likely to get murdered on the job after Police and Taxi drivers. We use our own cars, we pay our own gase, and we make minimum wage or less. We have to search for un-numbered houses, fight dogs, theives (I've been robbed 3 times at gunpoint) and traffic to bring you a hot pizza.

shirls4: If you really can't afford the pizza and the tip, maybe you should be shopping at the grocery store and buying a frozen pizza.

vicvic*: We have to drive to thier house, park the car, AND deal with the rude customers who think its OUR fault when anything goes wrong with their order. I do appreciate the visit to the site though!

I tip the pizza guy $10, mainly because gas is so high and that is a minimum wage job. Pizza delivery guys have families to support and I am grateful that I don't have to drive for dinner, so I show my guy that I am happy that he provides door to door service. I also give all my public service people a christmas card with $50 to say thanks for making my life a little easier. I think everyone should give a hand to his fellow man.

I went to your site. Yes, I tip the pizza guy a few bucks, and $4 on $20 doesn't hurt me, but I waited tables for 5 years and trust me...driving, parking a car and walking to a door is certainly not worth the 20% that is hoped for when you deal with the crap-@ss customers in restaurants.

Moral: tip the delivery guy at least 2 bucks, don't insult them with "keep the change" when it's less than 2 bucks. Pay for what you get people!

I usually pay with my debit card and I just round it up to the nerest whole amount. Last Friday we had pizza. The total was $23.47 and I rounded up to $30.00 so pizza guy got $6.53! Oh, and a smile from a beautiful woman!

By the way, I like the liitle site www.tipthepizzaguy.com . Are you a pizza delivery guy? Just wondering!

I refuse to get delivery. I don't like people hitting on me when I open the door and I'm not going to pay delivery charge AND throw in a tip. I live withing 1/2 a mile of 6 different places. F*ck that, I'm not lazy, I will get it myself

Apparently, in other countries, they tip doctors and medical staff, not waiters and delivery people.

About 20%. I used to do a buck and then my kids were delivery guys for a while. Same as I would in a restaurant.

A couple of bucks depending on cost of pizza, delivery time, and how friendly the pizza guy is.

Depends on the cost of the Pizza. They really do work for tips. So, you need to consider it took time to drive to your place. I usually give them 20%.
