use photomail from your yahoo email. it might take longer then attaching the files the usual way, but then your friend won't have to download and wait - he will see the pictures in the body of the email.

That is the only way I know of to send pics directly in an email....copy & paste, perhaps you need to check some settings on your email options.

picasa is a Google's photo software. It's what should've come with your camera.
it can upload/download your camera to your PC.
It can Edit , organise and Share you picture and small video clips.
It's very easy to use and is free, just like Google

You cannot control that at your end.
Even if you managed it without attachments - it would probably be recieved as attachments at the far end.

I think you have to set your email setting to allow html/graphics, not just plain text.

If you have a choice called "insert" click on it and transfer your pictures that way.
