I'm not going there.
Minsters are humans just like you and I.
People give them the power to teach, but to look at them and to say that.No I can't agree on that.

Ultimately God is the judge of that. They are definitely held to a higher accountability in the Bible. After all they are representing God and so their actions and attitudes should be-fitting for their calling. That's why being a minister is not just going to Bible College or getting some degree, but it is a calling.

Ephesians says that God gave some to be evangelists, teachers, etc. so that the body of believers can be edified. God puts people in those positions to cause the church to grow (not just numerically but spiritually and healthily).

They are to examples in holiness and conduct. As Paul reminded Timothy to not let anyone look down on his youthfulness but to be an example to believers in: speech, conduct, purity, faith, and love.

Hope that helps,

Nickster

NO they are not, nor are they less moral.

Morality is determined on an individual basis, not on a profession or a catagory. We can all think of many people in every profession that fall well below what we would consider moral people. So there is no profession or group of people that one can say is more moral than others. its an individual thing.

We all wish they were. However they are biblically speaking held to higher standards as leaders or God's flock. Only God's grace can ultimately save someone though not position title or morality, because all have sinned and the wages of sin is death". Jesus died to take our sin and judgment so that we wouldn't have to. Repent and believe in Him today if you have not already.

of course not, that's what they will have you believe,so they can can carry out their plan which includes brainwashing, the drain of your life savings, intrusively converting others, just to name a few,I'm not saying all are like that I'm sure there are true ministers out there, but where,we will never know.......

just because someone appears and talks holy, doesnt mean anything!thats when you should really worry

They should be. If they cant be a good example to the flock and have high morals and integrity, they should get out of the ministry.

Although they are to be our role model and held to a higher standard as our teachers..........it is fact they are human and many fall from the tempation set before them. It is written "many should not consider themselves to be teachers"..........there is a reason that was written
