I got a really bad sunburn & now my head is peeling. What can I do about the flakes in my hair. I look like I have dandruff but I don't. THe more I pick at it to get rid of the flakes, the more appear.(of course.) Serious answers only please. Thanks!

What a coincidence! I'm going through the exact same thing! Unfortunately...you'll just have to wait it out. When you wash your hair...rub your scalp really well to help speed up the process. Messing with it after that will just increase the number of loose flakes in your hair so just leave it alone when you get out of the shower. It will pass in a day or two.

I've had that happen more than once! Basically, all you can do is shampoo once a day, brushing before you shampoo loosens things up. It's usually all over within 2 or three days. Maybe try wearing your hair in a gelled back ponytail or something in the meantime. If it will work with you hair, that is. If it's gelled down, the flakes won't be able to float around and be visible during the day.

I use a scalp tonic during the winter to soothe dry skin. I don't know if it will help in this case or not, but it's worth a shot.
Mix equal parts Witch Hazel and mint mouthwash (like scope). Apply to scalp and wait 3 minutes, then massage for 1 minute. Wash and condition hair as usual.

aloe vera gel is VERY good for sunburns... i understand you wodln't wnat ot use it around in public during the day. bt it owuld probably be very beneficial to your scalp if you put it on during the night.. and really it may help make your hair healthier too lol... its very good for almsot everythign that needs moisture. and then in teh morning give your hair a GOOD going over in teh shower withthe shampoo and besrue to follow up with conditioner, adn let it air dry. as for the rest fo the day..i think all you coudl really do is sjut try not to touch it.. let it heal...G/L

I don't think there's really a lot you can do. Just wait a couple days and minimize scratching your head.
