According to doctrine I learned from a non-denominational Christian church: If you believe, you're saved. You've accepted that Jesus died for your sins, and a place has been prepared for you.
Have faith.

Christianity is a way of life, and with the way of life there are rules. However being human and having a sinful nature we breah those rules. That is why we need Jesus. If you truely believe that Jesus died for You you are saved. I am sure you know John 3:16, that's it. Do the best you can and rely on Christ. I often wonder about my own Salvation because I like everyone don't quit make the standards. Than I remind myself if I didn't make mistakes, and screw ups than I wouldn't be human and I wouldn't need Jesus. Than I know I am saved. I look forward to meeting you in Heaven someday. Blessings and love.

Hey Bro,
Read 1 John 5:12-14. John writes to say that those who have the Son of God have eternal life, and the witness is the Holy Spirit. From what you've stated- i think that the desire to want to be like Jesus- is not something you produced- but is a result of having the Holy Spirit reside within you.
In 1 John 5:14- John says he has written these things so that we may know that we have eternal life. Not hope, but know with confidence. Know that God is true to His Word and know that He has given us His Spirit to help us grow in Christ-likeness until He returns...
Hope that helps... if you have any more questions feel free to email me at nicksterlee@yahoo.com

If you are faithful and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, say the sinner's prayer, ask God to forgive you and walk in His ways, study the Bible to show yourself approved you are saved. You have confessed with you mouth that you believe in Jesus. Have you done the other things? If you take Jesus into your heart you will have a peace, you will develop a relationship with Jesus, you will feel a comfort from our Father in Heaven and
thirst for wisdom and knowledge of the God's Word from the Holy Spirit. God gives many gifts and fruits which you will be able to operate in if you do what I have said. You need Christian fellowship so try seeking out some good Christians to fellowship with to study the Word and socialize. Another idea is: Try watching Christian television to uplift you and inspire you. If you receive the Holy Spirit you will want to follow the rules set forth in the Bible. No one will have to make you or fuss at you. You will have a desire in your heart to please God. I think, it sounds like you need to have hands laid on you to receive the Holy Spirit. Lord bless you. "Seek ye first the Kingdom of God ----and all these things shall be added unto you! Allelu! Alleluia! Ask and it shall be given unto you, seek and ye shall find. Knock and the door shall be opened unto you! Allelu!! Alleluia!"

I am glad I can share with you the love of God which He has revealed to us through the Lord Jesus Christ. The only way we have acceptance before God is through Jesus, God's only Son, who came from heaven to live on earth. He fully understands our problems because He lived as a man on the earth for thirty-three years. He did not sin, and yet He took our sins upon Himself and paid the penalty for sin by His death on the cross (Romans 6:23, Hebrews 4:15, 1 Peter 2:24). Three days after He died, He arose from the dead; and forty days later He ascended into heaven where He intercedes in our behalf (Romans 8:34 and Hebrews 7:25).
John 3:16-17 and John 10:10 tell of the great love God has for us. Because of His love, God wants us to come to Him just as we are. He longs for us to talk to Him freely about our sins and our needs. I encourage you to do this. Admit your sins to God, ask His forgiveness, and thank Him for His love and acceptance of you. Jesus has all power and authority over sin and evil (Matthew 28:18, Hebrews 2:14-15, 1 John 3:8), and through Him we can also live victorious lives. Read 1 John 1:9. If we give ourselves to Jesus, He comes into our hearts and lives there (Revelation 3:20). We are in Christ Jesus, and He is in us (John 15:4-7, Galatians 2:20).
We read in 2 Corinthians 5:17: "When someone becomes a Christian he becomes a brand new person inside. He is not the same any more. A new life has begun!" (TLB). The Bible also says in 1 Corinthians 15:57: "How we thank God for all of this! It is he who makes us victorious through Jesus Christ our Lord!" (TLB).
I believe one of the oldest tricks of the devil is to make Christians doubt their salvation. When we doubt our salvation, we doubt God's Word, and when we doubt God's Word, we are powerless and ineffective tools for Christ.
"A lot of people believe they are saved only if they have some powerful emotion or overwhelming feeling. However, every Christian has times when feelings are not strong, no matter what our experiences may have been in the past. But it is not our feelings that save us—it is Christ.
"How can we know we are really saved? Because God's Word tells us, and God cannot lie. If you have put your personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, the Bible says God has made you a member of His family. 'God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the Son hath life ... These things I have written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life' (1 John 5:11-13). As someone once said, 'God said it—I believe it—that settles it!'
"Remember that God loves you. And if you begin to doubt, remember the promises He has made to you and the way He loves you. Learn to thank Him for that love. When we know Christ, nothing 'shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord' (Romans 8:39)."

It is a constant commune and walk with the Lord. Each day we have to die to self and take on Jesus Christ anew. Jesus said that if you love me you will keep my commandments. Practice loving Jesus daily and everyday you will grow more and more like Him which is the ultimate goal.

I am going to provide you with a link to an article that you can use along w/ your Bible to see if you do have God's approval.
You seem to have the right heart attitude, which is vital, because humilty is needed inorder to be considered "meek" or teachable.
I hope you will take the time to prayerfully examine this, because it really is important to know the answer to your question.

You know what? You might think it's hard to get into heaven, but it isn't. What you have to do is trust God, know that He is our savior and can do all things, live by His word. See, that's it, lol.... God doesn't care about anything extra, how many crosses you wear around your neck, how many charities you give to, because if you aren't doing it for him, it means nothing (1st Corinthians 13)... Anyway, good luck on your journey! (I'm a Christian too.)

that's why God sent you Islam to clear many missunderstood information about your faith, and show you what was hidden in ur scripture.
and the word Son, sons, children of God does not mean son as we understand today. but it means an honor servant of God. there are other 5 people mentioned as the son of God in the Bible, one of them was Adam.
God is most merciful most forgiving, He has already forgave before and can forgive after. good people are not equal to bad people, no one need to die for anyone sins. because you still sin everyday and you have to repent. God has the power of forgiviness.
