Assuming you're taking the obvious Interstate Routes, your precise halfway point would be somewhere between Birmingham (200 of the 469 miles) and Anniston (261miles from Bay Springs), closer to Birmingham. There's not much in that stretch, so if you're looking for a place to eat or stay, you'll want to stop in Birmingham or wait til Anniston. Anniston's kind of depressing, so I'd vote for B'ham.
