In John 8:58 Jesus said, "Before Abraham was born, I AM". The Greek used for "I AM" is that same as in the Greek version of the Old Testament when God gives His covenant name - the eternal "I AM that I AM".
In John 10:30 Jesus said, "I and the Father are one".
Isaiah 44:6 says:
Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel
and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts:
"I am the first and I am the last;
besides me there is no god."
Revelation 1:17-18, Jesus tells us that He is the "first and the last". Clearly the Redeemer is the LORD of hosts, who is Jesus. The reason LORD is in caps is to clarify that it translates the Hebrew name of God - YHWH. The Redeemer, Jesus, is YHWH.
Further, Romans 10:9 reads, "because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
So you have to confess that Jesus is God in order to be saved.

After righton I must make a few clarifications. There is One Triune God. That simply means that God has One essence. God also has three persons - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
When the Bible speaks of God being one, we know that there is only one essence of God, one being.
When the Bible tells us how the Father talks to the Son or the Son talks to the Father or the Father sends the Holy Spirit, we know that there must be a different kind of distinction in God, not in being (because God is one being) but in person, such that God is not talking to Himself when we see conversations or prayers between Father and Son.
Also, Jesus is not lying when He says that He and the Father are one. The Jews understood this perfectly and tried to stone Jesus several times.
So my concluding remark is that Jesus is the eternal, uncreated, essence of God, just as much as the Father or the Holy Spirit. If this is not something you believe (that Jesus is Lord/God), Romans 10:9 says that you will not be saved.

Um, Jesus being God is actually a fundamental (fundamental as in foundation or basis not radical crazy right/left wingers) tenet of Christianity.
I'm not quite sure what you are getting at. Maybe you mean cults like the Jehovah Witnesses or Mormons. Is that what you meant with the quotation marks?

Jesus:
God the eternal Son became incarnate in Jesus Christ. Through Him all things were created, the character of God is revealed, the salvation of humanity is accomplished, and the world is judged. Forever truly God, He became also truly man, Jesus the Christ. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He lived and experienced temptation as a human being, but perfectly exemplified the righteousness and love of God. By His miracles He manifested God's power and was attested as God's promised Messiah. He suffered and died voluntarily on the cross for our sins and in our place, was raised from the dead, and ascended to minister in the heavenly sanctuary in our behalf. He will come again in glory for the final deliverance of His people and the restoration of all things. (John 1:1-3, 14; Col. 1:15-19; John 10:30; 14:9; Rom. 6:23; 2 Cor. 5:17-19; John 5:22; Luke 1:35; Phil. 2:5-11; Heb. 2:9-18; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4; Heb. 8:1, 2; John 14:1-3.)

You are correct, in order to be saved a person must confess that Jesus Christ is the So in of God, that he is in fact the manifestation of God in the flesh. People who call themselves Christians who deny that Jesus is God either do not read the Bible, go to the wrong church, do not listen to the preacher, do not go to church at all or do not have a clue as to what Christianity is.

Jesus never claimed to be God.Jesus is always presented as separate and lesser, a humble servant of God. That is why the Bible plainly says that “the head of the Christ is God” in the same way that “the head of every man is the Christ.” (1 Corinthians 11:3) And this is why Jesus himself said: “The Father is greater than I.”—John 14:28,
In John 10:30, he talked of how he and God had the same purpose. If you continue to read that chapter, the Jews were ready to stone him because they thought he was calling himself a god. But Jesus clarified that he was God's son in vs.36.
Also, Jesus talked of he and his disciples being one.
(John 10:38) But if I am doing them, even though YOU do not believe me, believe the works, in order that YOU may come to know and may continue knowing that the Father is in union with me and I am in union with the Father.”
(John 17:11) “Also, I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world and I am coming to you. Holy Father, watch over them on account of your own name which you have given me, in order that they may be one just as we are.
(John 17:21) in order that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in union with me and I am in union with you, that they also may be in union with us, in order that the world may believe that you sent me forth.
Jesus was the "first"in the following sense:
(Acts 26:23) that the Christ was to suffer and, as the first to be resurrected from the dead, he was going to publish light both to this people and to the nations.”
(Colossians 1:18) and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things;
(Revelation 1:5) and from Jesus Christ, “the Faithful Witness,” “The firstborn from the dead,” and “The Ruler of the kings of the earth.” To him that loves us and that loosed us from our sins by means of his own blood—
And he was the "last" :
(John 5:21) For just as the Father raises the dead up and makes them alive, so the Son also makes those alive whom he wants to.
(John 6:40) For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him at the last day.”
(Revelation 2:8) “And to the angel of the congregation in Smyr′na write: These are the things that he says, ‘the First and the Last,’ who became dead and came to life [again],
As far as using Romans 10:9, That doesn't say Jesus is God it says God raised Jesus from the dead, which is true.

So, thanks for the quotes, but is there really a question or are you testifying, brother? In reality, Christians know that Jesus is God. It's like a clover leaf, each leaf is separate, but they are one. Father, Son and Holy Ghost, three entities, one God.

by confessing jesus is God it's like a Free way to Hell not Saved. no one can be worshiped except God. and John has no right to put his words in the Bible, neither has the right to allow eating pork after it was been forbiden.
