Wear what you normally wear. Act the way you normally act. Hang around with the people you were hanging around with before. Just be yourself, don't try to be something your not. If you are going to school with people who knew you before, you can't escape what they already know about you. If you want a "fresh" start, you need to go somewhere that no one knows you. If someone brings up something personal to you, like OCD, ADHD, anorexia, tell them it is not their business and you would appreciate them staying out of your personal life.

I just went through 8th grade last year and it was one of my best years ever! Just be yourself. I know everyone says that but it is true. If you think something is funny-laugh. If you think something is wrong-say so. Speak up and you will be a lot more popular. Be nice to everyone. I tried that this year and actually came a lot more popular and more people were a lot nicer to other people. Keep on the teacher's good side. If you are funny, then be funny because that is always a big plus! Act crazy, but not to crazy. Just have fun. Plain and simple!

I'm going into 8th grade to. Only thing is I've never been popular. I am trying to become popular this year. I wish summer would never end. I hate school. I always get made fun of and stuff because I'm a geek. Contact me if you wanna talk. I think we'd have alot to talk about. I don't understand why all these people wanna be in 8th grade. All middle school is is drama.

Wear clothes, act normal, hang around the people that make you feel more comfortable, meaning the people you've known longest and trust more.

It's no one's business about you and your OCD, ADHD or anorexia, soooo don't worry about it.

Focus on school, not the people around you.

Fitting in with the other kids won't matter later on in life, but your education will, and how well you do in school effects the rest of your life.

8th grade will be the best time of your life just be yourself don't go to over dressed. Talk to everybody, stay friend with the ones you have join clubs, groups and sports you'll have a great time. If some one brings up your problems just say that was the past and you working through it don't worry it's gonna be great.

Cool. I'm going to 8th grade too. I don't know, take medicine before you go to school. That should be important; I know you don't want to jump around during class and stuff. But, importantly, just be what you were last year, and make some changes you thought weren't working last year -- for example if you were messy in 7th grade (like me), then try to keep organized.

Basically, just relax. It's just 8th grade. :)

Just walk in with this new attitude that you just presented here. I think you have the right idea for the new you. Your old friends will try to continue where you left off and that's alright if you want it to be . But just keep in mind your new plans for yourself. If they ask about the previous problems just smile and say it's under control then change the subject. Good Luck....

Um... the only way people find out about OCD and ADHD is if you tell them...

Be yourself... take your meds (if you are prescribed them) and DON'T tell anyone... cuz if you tell one person, 10 people will know.

I'm sure that people will like you for who you are... don't give them labels to call you...

Believe me. There's enough going on in 8th that people will have otehr things on their mind rather than pay attention to your small personality traits.

Enjoy, and good luck. You'll do fine.

Oh my God! Excuse me but, I remember when I was in the 8th grade. It was a blast. My advice to you is go at it with confidence. Make the best out of it. Good luck and I hope that you pass on to the 9th grade.
