OK well I've tried like almost every way to find a way to sing from my diaphram. And I know that I'm doing something wrong. I do sing in a church choir, so my teacher does tell me somewhat. But I still can't get it! Please give me some tips on how to warm up and how to sing from your diapgrham! Thanks I would raelly apperatiate the help!

To feel what your abdominal muscles should be doing when singing properly, take a deep breath and buzz your lips like a kid making a truck sound. Do this several times until you really feel it. Now try to sing with that sort of muscle support. It may feel like a lot of work at first, but it will become natural with practice and really take the strain off your vocal chords.

Stand up straight and put your hands in the middle of your chest, just below the rib cage. Sing the scales. If you feel a lot of movement when you sing, you may be starting to use your diaphragm. Singing from the diaphragm helps you control your breathing and boosts your sound quality when you sing.

If you are truly interested in improving your vocal music quality, I would suggest that you look into voice lessons. Call your local college or university music department and inquire about voice teachers.

Another suggestion that might be a little cheaper for you -- talk to your church choir director. Have him (or her) evaluate your posture and your singing style. Maybe he (or she) can help you improve your singing style and get you singing from your diaphragm!

Breathe so that your stomach goes out, not your chest going up. Then stand straight, tighten your but and lower area (not too much) and then compress the air so that you can imagine that there is a tornado or a whirl wind. It is easier to sing with the diaphragm with more air. and then, of course, try to use the diaphragm muscles. if you can't get it, stand straight, shoulders up and relaxed, and then put your right hand on your diaphragm/abbs and your left hand (palm towards you) on you back at about the same area. When you sing, push against your hands and then once you get the hang of it, take your hands off. i'm in choir, and believe me, it works.

Here are a few tips: (1) Relax. (2) When you breathe in, your lower abdomen should push out, not your chest. (3) Relax. (4) When you sing, the air will come from that area down where your lower abdomen comes out. (5) Relax. (6) Don't let all the air come out in one big rush -- just control it so it comes out slowly. (7) Relax. (8) Over time, you'll learn how to control the air flow from your lower abdomen so you won't have to strain when you sing. (9) Did I mention that you need to relax?

You should throw out your diaphram and invest in the "ring". It has a lot better protection against pregnancy and it makes your boobs bigger.

When your boobs are big noone cares what your singing voice is like so your problem will be solved.

ok try taking a big breath, and push out,FEEl the air coming from that area under your boobs or pecs[if ur a male], you should have a str8 posture, shoulders and neck relax, stand up when doing that exercise. then after you do this one a couple times , try singing like that. * remember to breath when your singing, air brings teh notes out!!! :] never stop the air from coming out!! :] good luck!

OK! what you should do it's breath deeply and let the air go when you sing, the clue is to feel the air through your voice when you're singing.

ok lets see, you need to take DEEP BREATHS, then hold one hand on your chest and the otheron your stomache. make sure your standing up straight. now, when you take your deep breath make sure your stomache puffs out not your chest... it kinda makes you look fat but it does work.. also before you start singing make sure you warm up, try doing scales that go higher and higher in yaa sound...... also try holding a notes, or doing decending scales in an ooo sound and go to an oh, then go from an oh to an aw.. hope this helps

I hate to say it, but I actually agree with ciaran_foley... If you have the looks, then your vocal ability is almost secondary. For example, Britney Spears, Spice Girls, and Jennifer Lopez are terrible singers. Even Madonna was terrible earlier in her career, but she improved over time... but by then no one cared. Anyway, we can't all be Gwen Stefani.
