There are numerous scribed accounts from various Native American ( indian) tribes, ALL describing visits from a bearded white man with long flowing brown hair and blue eyes who could speak their language. And these accounts are documented in many studies of anthropology at various colleges nation-wide.

Also interesting are very early Chinese and Nordic written accounts of a similarly described white man visiting them and speaking THEIR language as well.

In all these written accounts, NO one documents where this man speaks of where he came from....but they all write that just as he suddenly appeared to them, he left much the same way.

It is possible. The Mormons say it. But so do the Native Americans. The Mayans and Incas have stories of a Man with a beard talking about the Great Spirit (Natives as a whole cannot grow beards, so they knew this was weird). Many say he had blue eyes, and he was definitely lighter than the Indians. Some North American tribes say that he walked across a lake/ocean to get to the tribe and preach. That he promised to return....... this is why the Spanish were accepted in Central America, they thought He had Returned.

Essentially, Jesus came to America during his Resurrection to tell the Natives what they would need to know in order to be saved. It doesn't say so in the Bible because the Bible was compiled after Jesus' death. If one is to assume that someone in the Old World was even told by Jesus of his travel, it is easy to assume that the Council of Nicea would decree a New World heresy and omit the proper passages. PLUS, they didn't know about the extra continents, so why would they write about them? Maybe Jesus went and did his thing and didn't think he needed to Explain Himself to his disciples by giving an account of a trip to the Americas.

Jesus was crucified at the age of 33. He spent his entire 33 yrs. in radius of not more than 100 miles (if that). Some of his apostles made trips to islands in the Mediterranean and a few to what is now Italy (then it was all called Rome).

Had he been a traveler (of great distances), there was no method 2000 yrs. ago to reach what we call the Western Hemisphere.

I'm not a Mormon, so I can't speak of their specific beliefs. I do know that having been 'visited' by them (usually at dinner time) they have tried to tell me what they told you. It just isn't possible for Him to have physically set foot on this part of the world.

They may believe that he visited, but could it be that it was His spirit that visited after His death? There is no biblical facts to support this; but, I could almost give them the benefit of the doubt if it were presented in that manner.

The Book of Morman does say that Jesus visited what is now America. I'm sure they believe it, too. Most Christians who are not Mormons don't believe that, however. From my point of view, I really don't know but I do have a tendency to go with the more traditional Bible followers. That is just me, though

No, this is not true. This is a lie told in the Mormon faith to bring credibility to their faith. Jesus said Himself that no prophet can die outside Jerusalem. The prophets at that time were sent primarily to the children of Israel. Jesus told the disciples that this gospel will be preached in Jerusalem, in Judea, in Samaria and to the ends of the world. But this was not to happen until after the disciples received the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. To put it plainly, the Lord left the task of evagelizing the rest of the world to the believers. The gospel would be validated to the rest of the world through miracles and the working of the Holy Spirit.

No, it is not true. Jesus did all of His work in Israel. When He ascended, that was the last time He would appear in bodily form on earth until His Second Coming. "After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight.
They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. "Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven." (Acts 1:9-11)
When the Lord Jesus returns a second time every eye will see Him. "Look, he is coming with the clouds,
and every eye will see him" (Revelation 1:7).
This has not happened yet; but it will happen soon. Are you ready? You can be. Turn to Christ and accept Him by faith as your Savior.

Jesus did not visit America as the Mormons teach. If it says so in the Bible I would believe it, but it does not...so I do not believe it.

Africa, Europe & asia were the then known world. That was the time they believed that the world is flat. This is when Jesus operated(dark age). Later, Christopher Columbus discovered America. The name of the ship he used was called mayflower. This is during sparnish inquisition...so many things happened during this time. So, Jesus couldn't have gone to America (an unknown world then).

Yes he visited America. Remember the sheep that were not of the same fold in Israel? It talks about it in John 10. The other fold was in the America's.

Oh yes! He took a package tour the day before yesterday, but he couldn't board the plane because of the nails (the metal detector), and because he was carrying a bottle of vinegar (no longer liquids are allowed in the plane), it was a connecting flight from Tel Av iv (El Al) via Heatrow British Airways to New York, but it was postponed
