you just have to - if they're gonna cheat, they're gonna cheat - whether you trust them or not, it can still happen - if you're with someone, you just have to give them the benefit of the doubt - why stress about what you can't control?

The short answer is yes.
The long answer is that during the course of a relationship there are red flags that come up. You can tell if your partner has a wandering eye, if he/she likes the attention he/she gets when someone flirts with him/her, and how (or if) that person shuts down the flirter when he/she is with you. So generally, you trust someone if they deserve that trust. And you can tell if you're really observant. The sad part is that it can still happen. Generally people in a relationship want to be happy with the person they marry. There are also warning signs of when the relationship is starting to go sour, and it's best to nip that in the bud before either partner gets tempted to cheat.
