Girl, I will be praying for you!!! Age doesn't mean a thing in this situation. Anybody can make bad choices. I'm 36 y.o. and also a single mother to a 2 y.o. When I first had her, I had a no job, no car, and no place to live. My sister graciously allowed me live with her and through Social Services, non-profit organizations and christian charity I was able to obtain medicaid for my daughter, get a job, car, and a place of my own.
Check with your local Department of Social Services regarding emergency food assistance and energy bill assistance. Also, inquire about christian non-profit organizations like Catholic Charities that make food donations and diapers. I was able to get into transitional housing... That's where you get an apartment for 3-9months rent/utility free upon the condition that you work and deposit a portion of your money into an escrow account. At the end of your stay, you get that money back to use toward a deposit on your new place. I was able to get my car through a christian organization that takes donated vehicles, refurbishes them and sells them to needy families for $500. Its an '89 Toyota Corolla and I've had it over a year and its running well.
Pick up your telephone or a neighbor's phone if you don't have one and dial 2-1-1. It will connect you to Texas United Way information line and tell them what you need and they will refer you to organizations that can assist you. God bless you and your little ones. Have FAITH that a change is coming. You are not forgotten!!! I want to send you $$ but have no way to verify the validity of your story. However, I hope the resources I've given you will be a blessing and fulfill your children's needs.

I am not judging you for making your previous mistakes as you called them, but for the current ones. Please no that I am not trying to be a jerk, but to bring something to your attention, that you may or may not have thought about. I commend you for putting your children first and doing what you can.
I assume (may or may not be correct), that you have Internet access at home, and I assume you are sitting there, posting questions on yahoo, when you should be doing everything possible to find a job, so you can have some food, clothes, etc. I know the jobs are not ideal, but go to a fast food joint and apply, they are usually close together so you can apply to a lot of them at once. (helping save on gas, time, etc)
Cancel your Internet service, cable TV, home phone,(if you have a cell phone, or cancel that, etc. keep you air conditioner set higher, and don't drive to unnecessary places. You will be able to cut back bills this way and use that money to provide those things for you and your children.
I know it is hard because you want your kids to have everything all other kids do, but you need to do these things for them now, so you can provide them what they need in the future.

I know you Probably don't want to do this. But the thing I suggest is to apply for tanf. At the Department of human Services. They will help you with everything you need. Also they will help you go to school and with you car. If you are really willing to do for yourself. They will also help you get a job and Day care. If you want more information. My E-mail address is Wyuanitac@yahoo.com.

I am not going to judge you first off. However, there are many government service's that can help you! Do you have a case worker? If you don't you should get one. My local church gives away clothing, food, and even diapers. Use ur resourses. It seems to have access to a computer. That's what I would do. I give all my extra money to my sister, who is a single mom, she goes to work full-time and college full time. Ask ur family...

Definitely look into the churches. My church in California has a program called the Gabriel Project for assisting moms living on limited income. I'm sure there are programs like that in Texas. God Bless

Listen girlfriend, know one should judge you. But you need help so go to the nearest Social Service office and get the assistance you need to take care of those babies. Thats what they are there for, to help people in need. Don't be ashamed just go. Or look in your local phone book they have other resources.

will your family help you? your mother? or are they judgmental like mine and think they should leave you stranded so you can "learn your lesson"?
definately go to your local food stamp office. you will totally get money from them and can get food, diapers, formula ... whatever you need for you AND your daughters. also, a good place to look for work is MoneyMakingMommy.com if you have internet at home, this site has a ton of at-home jobs you can do part or full time. idk if you're able to send your girls to day care right now, but if you aren't, this is an easy site to find jobs you can do while being at home with them.

I have seen alot of ladies in that sort of pickle. What I would suggest to you is that you find your LDS church in that area, go on sunday and tell the bishop what is happening and see if he can help you. Good luck on getting through your troubled times, and God bless you.
