Welcome to a brand new life
NEW THINGS for NEW CREATURES!
· NEW LOVE … for communicating with God. Establish a daily devotional habit. Talk with Him through prayer, and let Him talk with you through His Word. Make this a regular part of you life!
· NEW DESIRE … to be like Christ. You will want to follow carefully in His footsteps, but be patient with yourself. Take one step at a time.
· NEW EXCITEMENT … to share the gospel. Acts 2:38 salvation must be proclaimed boldly but with the utmost love and wisdom. Give your testimony, tracts and an invitation to church. Be patient!
· NEW QUESTIONS … from unbelieving friends. Its is real? Will it last? Why don't you do that any more? Are you too good for us? A confident smile and a kind word is your best response.
· NEW CHALLENGES … from nominal Christians. You may be labeled a fanatic, a heretic, misguided of perhaps even "of the devil." Remember that Jesus received the greatest opposition from the traditional religionists of His day.
· NEW FELLOWHIP … with apostolic believers. You will be encouraged and refreshed by being with those of "like precious faith". Determine to become a vital part of a church that believes and preaches what the Bible teaches. Don't miss a service!
· NEW AWARENESS … of family responsibilities. Go out of your way to be what God wants you to be at home. You have the greatest godly influence on those who know you best. However, resist the temptation to force salvation issues upon them.
· NEW OUTLOOK … concerning right and wrong. The Lord will help you to see that many things you've said and done in the past just don't seem right any more. Be sensitive to His leading in dealing with old habits.
· NEW POWER … to overcome temptation. You have supernatural power to say no to the enticements of evil. If and when you do sin, ask the Lord's forgiveness and determine with His help not to continue in it.
· NEW CONFIDENCE … in the promise of God. Place your faith in His steadfast Word as the basis for salvation and not in your changing feelings. In Christ, you are a child of God, regardless of the doubts that may arise.
· NEW AMBITION … to be used of God. When Jesus becomes Lord, He becomes Lord of all. Dedicate your time, talent and treasure to Him. Make yourself available; God has a special plan for your life!
"If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." II Corinthians 5:17
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING of an exciting new adventure for you. We, your new church family, want you to know that you have our love and prayers. We care about you!

It is a matter of being obedient to God's will. You must "come out from among the world and be a seperate people", which means that you must put away the things that were are part of your sinful past that God showed you in the Word and upon your conscience to be a sin and "crucify the flesh (sinful nature)" or "Mortify ye the deeds of the flesh". In other words, don't go back to the person you used to be and ask God how he would choose for you to rededicate your life. Remember, the SCripture says, "No man having put his hand to the plow and looking back is fit for the kingdom of Heaven". It's an allegory comparing the Christian life with plowing a field. If you look back over your shoulder instead of straight ahead to check your progress and make your lines straight, they'll be just the opposite, leaning to the direction in which you turn your head! If you look back to the person you used to be when you were in sin, Satan will use that against you as an accuser to the throne of God when he's able to tempt you and make you "go back" or "backslide" into sin. I hope this helps, and good luck!

The most important thing to know is that it is not just an experience. It is a connection. What does "to live for
God" mean? Truly, an important question. To overcome the flesh and sin is a good challenge, but not one that you can accomplish. These things must be done as a natural part of living in the Vine...Read Jesus' teaching on abiding in the Vine and the picture He's showing. He is the Vine, we are the branches. His Life flows through us as the Holy Spirit. He is the one who produces the changes in the Vine. Watch a real vine...the branches aren't growing themselves and pruning themselves, they are the product of the Life of the Vine. The branch allows the Life that is within to produce the fruit. None of it is our doing...we cooperate, listen, obey, and allow the work of the Spirit to happen in our lives. That's really all we can do. Be filled with the Spirit is the command, and you won't fulfill the lusts of the flesh. How can you live for God? Understand the Vine dynamics, and His life will flow through you into the world...just as it did through Jesus.

The 'gift' of tongues is a game played by morons. What good is babbling like an idiot in some supposed 'language' no one could understand. If any of you really had studied your bible, you would know that the 'tongues' business as described therein went something like this: the apostles spoke and each of the diverse people listening UNDERSTOOD IN THEIR OWN TONGUE.There was a purpose to that you see. So, once again, what possible use is it when you blabber some unintelligible gibberish, other than to make you look like the idiots you are? And one more thing--there's not one of you who's not pretending anyway when you foam at the mouth and gibber away, because it's all a crock, but you want and need to look as 'inspired' as the moron next to you, then convince yourselves that you actually felt some sort of religious ecstasy.

That is too big of a question for me to answer right off the top of my head. Give me about a week and I could tell you. The key thing is to know that you cannot live for Jesus Christ in your own strength, self efforts, or hard work. You must learn to let Him live His life in yours. Romans 6 in The Holy Bible is the key here. May God bless you in your desire to follow Him It is my prayer that you will hear, read, study, memorize and meditate on The Holy Bible to learn how to overcome the flesh and sin.

Matthew 22:36-39 states:
"Teacher, which commandment in the law is the greatest?"
He said to him, "You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."
St. James and St. Paul exhort us to pray at all times.
He who has two coats, let him share with him who has none; and he who has food must do likewise. (Luke 3:11)
But give for alms those things which are within; and behold, everything is clean for you. (Luke 11:41)
If a brother or sister is ill clad and in lack of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled," without giving them the things needed for the body, what does it profit? (James 2:15-16; cf. 1 John 3:17)
All Christians are called by Jesus to perform works of mercy.
We come to the aid of our neighbors in their bodily and spiritual needs by these charitable actions.
The spiritual works of mercy include instructing, advising, consoling, comforting, forgiving, and patiently forbearing.
The corporal works of mercy include feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and imprisoned, sheltering the homeless, and burying the dead.
With love in Christ

When you are born again all things become new. You are a new creation with the slate wiped clean. You must learn to forgive others and one thing that most preachers do not teach, forgive yourself when you was in a world of sin. It is easy to forgive others but the memories that float back of things we did to others haunts us. We need to be able to forgive ourselves as we forgive others. Love others as you would yourself, have compassion on those in need, follow the Word of the New Testament, Jesus is our living example.

Obey the 10 commandments, and go to church as often as you possible can to keep your spiritual strength. Read the bible and pray. Try to tell others about Jesus and avoid the temptation to sin by staying away from people and places that tempt you. I am happy for you and look forward to meeting you in heaven.
