First, I would question the source. The internet is a network that's full of invalid information and people trying to sell their stuff and ideas. Keep a healthy degree of skepticism, when reading these stories.
Secondly, it's totally okay to question your beliefs, just be sure that question eventually ends up in the form of Prayer asking God if it's true or not. He can let you know better than anybody what is true or not.
Best wishes.

Remember... Just because it's on the Internet DOES NOT mean it's true. The Internet is not regulated and anyone can put what ever they want on it. Go to your Pastor, Rabbi, Priest, etc. and talk to them about what your doubts and questions are. I'm sure they will be of some help. Pray, Pray, Pray! Maybe you are at a point where your faith is being tested.

Is the news from the source with a sound knowledge of your religion?
To understand any religion especially the old religions you need to study a lot.
I feel it is easy to criticise and difficult to understand. One may need a life time to understand.
I feel if anyone converts to another religion, can never understand any religion. If he understood his religion he/she would have never converted to any other religion.
I think all religions are right, it is we interprete wrongly.

News will not make me distrust religion. My personal belief is dicated by me, not by the news.

I guess it depends on if you're already questioning your religion--no religion is perfect--and rememeber that just because it is on the internet does not make it fact--I would present the info to your clergy and see what answer you are given and make your decisions based on that

I'm an atheist, but here even I have to say this:
Don't trust the Internet. Most stuff on here is absolute crap. Faith is a wonderful thing to have, don't let go of it because of something you read on line.

It's happened a lot in the past: I go out and research it, and find out all I can about it. There's nothing wrong with it. Once I go research everything, I find that everything checks out for my religion. I haven't changed my mind once.
