Ok, dropping any religion for this two parter. (Sound like Darwin)
1) Can the government force health care on a person to make them live even if they do not want it?(ie. blood transfusion)

2)If the government forces people to live then why do they say abortion is okay?

1 . Yes, the government doesn't know if an unconscious person wants to live or not. Doctors took an oath to preserve life so it's their job. The govt doesn't want to look bad by letting its people die.
2. Abortion is OK because, again, it makes a govt look better to get rid of small and ignorable fetuses than the bodies of full grown human adults.
DO they care THAT is a different question

The government can do whatever it feels like. The government is made up of a lot of very confused people who have not got a clue as to what it is all about. It is all about Jesus, not them.

I don't want to bypass your question, but a little applied cynicism is needed here.

The government is run by elected officials. They're number one job, even before they that office, is to look at getting re-elected. This means appearing to pay back those who helped them get elected and appearing to respond to the most vocal focus group within their electorate. Even if they cannot get re-elcected they have to make their party look good so that IT can get re-elected.

The primary agenda of elected governance is not to govern, but to perpetuate it's election.
