I own a 2000 Lincoln LS V6 5 spd manual transmission. Had it for a year, and have yet to find another LS of any year with a manual tranny. Anyone else own one or have ever heard of any others out there?

The manual transmission was quite common in the 6 cylinder LS. The V8 comes in auto or with an Auto/SST combo in the sport model. The SST works similar to the European Tip-tronic transmission, however is not as functional.

Putting a smaller engine (V6) and a manual transmission in the LS was Lincoln's way of bringing the price down for cash conscious consumers. They are still quite peppy, although they cannot compare to the V8's powertrain.

They made lots of them in manual only with the 6 not the 8 . Just so happen most people wanted the 8 which does not come in a manual. They stopped the 6 around 2005 so now its only the 8 and of course only a automatic.

I worked at a Ford dealer, can't say I seen one. But Ford had Aerostars the mini vans with manuels and even some with all wheel drive. That was a rare thing to come across as well.
