It depends on your race and whether you smoke or not. In Caucasians, it tends to be pink or dark red. In people of color, it can vary from black to brown. That is because of the presence of a pigment melanin (yes the same pigment in hair). However, if you smoke, it can become dark due to nicotine and heat generated through smoke. Hope that helps.

the roof of your mouth isn't always uniform..and can vary in color depending on your age, and nationality, anything from a whitish pink, to a red is generaly normal..darker colors can be from smoking or diet, or nationality.

I was at the dentist yesterday. He had a person write down information as he examined me. He said it was "coral pink," which is healthy.

deep pink... like a slightly darker pink then your gums.... about the same color as your tongue
