Understand God better? hahahaha I doubt it.
Look at the population today. per capita, people are lost.
Bound by time? Yes. "TODAY" is the day of salvation.
What is the difference? The Old testament, everything was "physical".
The New Testament, everything is "spiritual".
You can kill and murder a person with your heart today.
You can divorce your spouse in your heart and never enter a courtroom.
You can commit adultry in your mind.
EVERYTHING IS SPIRITUAL.
"FORGIVNESS". is "SPIRITUAL".
You are no longer condemned by anything you "physically" do. why? You can NOT be saved by anything you "physically", do.
You are not Christ-like physically. You are Christ-like spiritually.
What makes you like Christ? ONE THING.
YOU will raise from the grave and go too heaven just like He did. period.
Any Christian that "thinks" they are LIKE Jesus....Jesus did miracles. Jesus raised people from the dead. jesus died on the cross. I havn't seen any Christians die on a cross this month.
All of these Christians running around trying to make the world righteous, is a joke. Jesus Himself didn't make it righteous, for a reason. There would be no need for rapture and saving His bride from the evil world. If we made heaven here now, God would have no need to make a New spiritual Kingdom.
God Himself, gives very bold instructions, to stay away from certain people, leave them alone.
I see these Christians, doing exactly what God Himself said NOT to do. Are they trying to do what Jesus couldn't? Did Jesus pass the Baton* and tell Christians to go forth unto all nations and do what I couldn't?
Did Jesus say: seperate yourselves from among the unrighteous?
Good Question. Have a great weekend.

As you well know, we are bound by the physica restraints of time/space. God, who dwells in eternity, is not. Abraham's decisions were no different from our own, since he too was limited to the same restraints. When he recognized Melchizedek as being the pre-incarnation of Jesus Christ, he honored Him with the elements that represented His blood and broken body (bread and wine). Abraham had such close fellowship with God, he even was willing to sacrifice his own son as a "type" of Him who was to come and die for the sins of the world. Abraham did this knowing that God (who cannot lie) promised that through Isaac would come the Messiah. So he was of sound mind that God would raise Isaac from the dead. He was not expecting God to actually stop him from sacrificing Isaac.
Yes, we dwell in the physical, which gives our decision to choose savlation, weight in regard to free will and faith. But those who were BEFORE Christ, could only look forward to that day. Yes, they could make the same decision for salvation, but this decision was accounted to them as a "payment that will be payed" later. So by faith, Abraham was justified. Remember, Abraham was not a Jew, he was a gentile. So by faith he was saved.--not by lineage or the keeping of law. Abraham (being limited by time/space) could only look forward to Messiah. This is why Jesus said on the cross, "It is finished" which literally translates as "Paid in full." So by the cross, all salvation was accomplished, from Adam to the present day. Yes, Abraham had to look forward to this event. Others, such as ourselves, look back at it. But salvation is a gift out of eternity and was available to all irrespective of the limitations of physical time.
Fantastic question.

Is salvation bound by time.. well yeah.. we only have a limited lifetime to accept Jesus as our Savior.
Abraham just lived longer and had more time to decide.
After Jesus ascended human lifetimes became shorter so they had less time to choose.
I don;t think anyone understands god completly.

Salvation has always been through Christ. I cannot give you a better answer or explain what I just wrote. It is of the Holy Spirit. Forgive me for not knowing everything.
