I am a first aid instructor and my advise to you is to keep it in cool water until the sting is out. What happens is the skin continues to burn even after what burned you is taken away. Do not put anything on that burn especially butter unless you want to deep fry it. The best thing you can do is keep it cool, when it doesn't feel hot anymore then you can put aloe vera on it only if you are not allergic and a light dressing (band aid) I hope you are feeling better soon oh yeah and if it blisters up don't break the blister - stay safe

Best remedy right after a burn is cool running water... u place the burned area under cool ... not freezing just mildly cool... running water and the swelling will go down... after a burn aloe vera is really good... do not use butter or creams like that unless they are for burns... If they arent burn creams they usually tend to seal the burn and keep the heat in... makes things worst... So aloe vera works...

Run some cold water over yur hand. Neosporan can be used for burns. Always keep it in yur house. I also heard that butter was not good for burns. But aloe vera from plants do work.

At your local drug store or pharmacy, look for a bandage product called something like Second Skin. It helps retain moisture on the burn while it heals. It helped me SO much.
Do not keep ice on it, even though that seems logical, they say it is bad. Just clean it out with some water.
(I burned my thumb on the hot pad part of the coffee maker, so I feel for you!)

The plant is called an Aloe Vera plant or you can just put a piece of ice on it.

I can't remember what it's called, but my mom has like ten plants in my house that are thick and spiky. If you break of a "leafy" thing, there is some mushy clear stuff that you rub on your burn.

Maybe try meat tenderizer. I know it works when you get stung, but I'm not sure about burns.
