Well, parents always think they are right because they have more life experiences.
They bring up their children, always hoping that their kids are obedient and follow them in the way they think is right. Most of the time, these parents fail to see that their children are unique individuals with a mind of their own, and are capable of making the right decisions as well.
As much as you are transitting in life, parents go through the transition of growing up from the dependent kid to a young adult that wants to get things done in your own way.
Not many parents understand that they can only advise, and let the kid choose their own ways. Very often, they are too focused on seeing you do things their way, that they even forget what they've instiled in you, and they lose the focus and do the bad things too!
Your dad probably cares, just respect, be patient, and when you are really pissed, back off.. after all, you owe them one for bringing you to planet earth!

All you do when you make a "comeback" is make him mad. Give him a break, he puts a roof over your head. The least you can do is let him have the last word. It may not be fair, but that is life, and remember that if you make him to mad w/ your "comebacks", he could make your life miserable w/ punishments, especially if he is like my dad was!

Learn and develop to have some patience and respect for any elders. It pays a lot and would keep you cool headed and mentally healthy.
If your Dad is asking you something, try to talk to him patiently when given a chance using logic; don't just say something and go away--that's bad. And if the situation tells you to keep quiet, just be quiet----thats the best thing to do sometimes.

He's your Father. Out of respect, you never talk back to your dad. He's the one who shelters, clothes, feeds you etc. Back when I was a kid, this was almost unheard of. If I ever gave my Dad backtalk, I would not be able to sit on my backside for days.

OK you must b in your teens...they dont listen they think they're right and of course you think your right. I remember it all so well. Your dad lacks in communication skills.. if you want to reach him try another way...do a little research on the topic online to get more info on communication skills. The good news is it wont always be this way good luck to you!!

Be the bigger person and just take it, unless you want a falling out with your family. That happens, it'll be a long time until you reconcile your differences. Even then, depending on how stubburn headed you both are, hopefully he'll change his ways and you your ways.

Life is not fair and you better learn that now. Besides that he is your father and he is your elder. Respect him for being so.

Don't mouth off to your dad, it's a respect thing. One day you will have kids and you will not want them to do that to you.
