just keep at it... try to cut out SOME but NOT ALL of the carbs. That's what eventually turns to fat if it's not burned off- and don't eat after like 6 or 6:30 at night. Sounds like you already have the exercises down..

Crunches alone will make your abs stronger but a good cardio program is what will really burn fat. do two ab circuts a week inbetween two or three cardio exercises .Eat small meals, large snack sized, about five or six times a day to get your metabolism up. Focus on eating foods that are not heavily processed like fruits vegatables nuts whole grains and lean meats. It will help you body be more efficient in burning calories. When you look at fat-carbohydrate- protien amounts for food try and keep the rario arouod 30%-30%-30%. Most regular diets are 50-40-10 or 45-45-10 not good.

I'll help you to shape up your abdomens...
First you need to push out the muscles...if you're a sporty type then don't be scared to eat proteins and fairly high calories because THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU NEED for stage 1 which's only purpose to push out the muscles....
But that's not all...you must do harder trainings than regular crunshes so you can help develop your six packs...(Note: You cannot do the training without the diet and Vice-Versa...Both have the same EXACT priority)
Stage 2: Mainly consists of your excersizing as many revs as you can...I think it's WONDERFULL that you do 100 of them....and that will be even a lot more than enough...but just remember....the more the refs (in the same excersize) the better the shape of your stomach gets...
In my oppinion I think you didn't improve your muscles because you missed stage 1 and don't have the fat/energy to develop into muscles....
Good Luck...

Two things:
1) Spot reducing DOES NOT WORK. There is nothing you can do that will remove fat from one particular part of your body. All you can do is try to continue to lose weight, but it will come off all over - not from any certain area.
2) It has been completely disproven that "eating after 6 or 6:30" is bad. That is an old bit of folklore that was investigated and found NO BASIS in fact. What matters is how much you eat on a daily basis. That's ALL that matters.

You are on to the crux of the matter. Metabolic rate is everything. As you've stated, spot reduction doesn't work. Your best success will come with a decreased body fat %. Accomplish this with sustained moderate exercise (after 20 minutes you start fat burning). You don't need to kill yourself. A heart rate of 120 (two beats/ second will probably do it). There are ppl who suggest that alternating two minutes vigorous with two minutes mild/moderate effort (several cycles) works better.

100 crunches every night is completely ineffective.
Do 20 or 30 good ones (up for a count of three, hold for a count of three, down while counting to three), so you count slowly until 9 doing the whole thing.
Do it every other day. All muscles need to rebuild before you work them again.
You're at a healthy weight for your height, so I think you just need to do more effective ab work. Remember that a six pack of abs isn't genetically attainable for all women.

Running will speed up your metabolism. And maybe try some oblique crunches along with your ab crunches. It's possible 100 crunches aren't enough... keep going until it's too painful.

crunches are great for toning, but you've got to do lots of cardio as well to help burn fat. i would recommend doing cardio that targets your core. also, pilates is amazing to tone and trim your stomach. as far as diet goes, moderation is the key. if you start any sort of "diet" you'll start craving all the "forbidden" foods! so, just remember, if you want to have ice cream, have a small scoop. it's okay as long as you don't eat the entire carton!

If you can try doing more aerobic excersise or during regular exercise reduce your weights and increase your repetitions also try to run to warm up before working out to get your heart rate up some before you start. Also avoid drinking regular sodas, and anything what resembles white bread or has whole flour. try more fiber in your diet such as carrots or green beans. GOOD LUCK
