I asked this question rhetorically elsewhere, and have decided to make it an actual question. I am half angry and half genuinely curious.
I am bi, I am s-s married, I am Pagan, I am not what conservative Christians would consider "godly". I have heard and heard this from many mouths for years. I heard I was going to hell even before I left the church.
I have to ask, since I've heard and since I've even given church a chance, why can't I just be allowed to go to hell in peace now, if in fact I'm going to hell?
And if I and many, many other people who just want to enjoy our lives are in fact going to hell, why must y'all also try to create hell on Earth for the "ungodly" through legislation, discrimination, and cruelty, too?

Didn't say hell, as envisioned in the Bible, was peaceful. I asked why my life can't be more peaceful.

Christians are trying to help you. They believe in having you come to heaven and have a good eternal life, that is why they're trying to convert you. I'd suspect that them telling you you're going to hell is an attempt to try to make you convert, so you can enjoy life in heaven instead.
It's a fine line between trying to spread the message and save people, and then just annoying the heck out of them.
Christians really want you to go to heaven, it's part of the Bible, to help others find God as well. That's why they probably won't leave you alone about it. Some of us are really persistent... I'm sorry that you're being really annoyed about it. I think there should be a point where you stop trying to convert and leave them be...
However, the creating hell for you here on earth part shouldn't be happening, especially the discrimination and cruelty. That... I'm sorry you have to go through that, because you shouldn't at all.

I know where you're coming from but I guess Im not sure what the problem is really. If there is a Hell (which I believe there is) there's nothing peaceful about it. If people are tormenting you now and its bothering you, imagine what ETERNAL torment would be like? Hell isnt a party even if you WANT to go there.
Being "godly" has nothing to do with Salvation either, Im not godly and neither is any other person here. Salvation is as easy for you to achieve as it is for Mother Theresa or anyone else. Did you know in the Bible, it never says "You can never sin again" ? Did you know that in Romans 7:14-20, Paul talks about how he STILL sins? Salvation isnt about living a perfect life, its about accepting forgiveness for it. If you want peace... try Jesus

I really hate being categorized sometimes. I am a Christian. I don't know if you are going to hell. It is not my right to judge you. Enjoy your life...you only get one. If this is how you want to spend it....then I am happy for you. I am sure you have many wonderful qualities about you. Lets see, you are in a loving relationship, you stand up for yourself, you know what you believe...and guess what...I would be pissed off too if someone kept telling me I was going to Hell. I don't blame you. Those type of people you don't want to hang out with no matter if they are "Christians" or not. True friends will stand beside you no matter what choices in life you make. I wish the best for you and I hope that you won't picture every Christian that way....
Sincerly,
A Christian

If you are pagan then you know there is no such thing as hell. As far as being made to suffer for your lifestyle and faith, there has always been torment for what the majority considers different from itself because it fears having to change. Hopefully acceptance is spreading faster than ignorance and intolerance but lately it doesn't seem like it. But I do hope you can find peace and happiness.

Some people do this because they are not listening to the Spirit of God, directing them. They are full of their own agenda and idea of what constitutes evangelism..it surely turns people off instead of helping them understand what is at stake. I'm sorry you have heard this for so long. I would only say follow your path, connect with your heart, and you will find your truth. When you follow the light you are given more, and it will lead you. LOVE and PEACE, Jayelle.

Hun, I wouldn't worry about hell. There is no such place. The only thing that remotely comes close to the christian concept of hell is here on Earth. And besides, everyone is going to hell. Think about it. In christianity, if you are not of a certain faith (ie. catholic, lutheran, anglican, ect.) you are going to hell. Since no one can have two different faiths, we can only assume that everyone is going to hell simple because they are of a faith than another faith has deemed hellworthy (hope that made sense). Ignore such ignorant people. They choose not to listen to their hearts and minds and let themselves be governed by a faith that instills fear. Not something I want to be part of, that's for sure.

You are welcome to ignore the message we are giving. If you're really tired of hearing it, we Christians should respect that. After all, it is ultimately your choice. I know some are a bit overzealous and forget that the Apostle Paul told us not to harass people if they don't want to hear it.
However, that you have bothered to show up on this site makes me wonder if YOU still have unanswered concerns and questions about heaven and hell that nag at you. If you ever reconsider, I know someone will listen to you.

Well you can.
First get off the web sites that have words like Religion and the words Spirituality.
If you live in the US you may want to move to a country that dose not beleave in God.
Try France!

You should be allowed to live your life peacefully, the only reason Christians want to tell you about Jesus and heaven is because they care and don't want anyone to experience the horrors of hell.Peace.

You can be all you described above and still go to Heaven if you choose. You can go to hell if you want as well, but let me warn you, there is nothing peaceful about hell, and I would feel better if you joined us in Heaven and celebrate the Lord.
