im a senior in high school and i was wondering why the girls in my senior class think that they have to have an older boyfriend or be hangin out w/ older guys. when we were in 9th grade or so they always were w/ us but then they started moving to the older guys and it pisses me and my friends off.
so i was just wondering why girls think older guys are so much better?

Because history tells us that usually the man is older in the relationship. Many of us grow up thinking that we have to date older because our moms did. Date a junior or sophomore, then get a fresh start when you go to college. Age does not matter in college.

I think it is something ingrained in women that the guy needs to be older. Now things are starting to change a little bit. However, if a girl dates a guy that is younger than her people still act a little weird about it.
All the other people are talking about the guys being mature, but I disagree. Guys don't ever get mature. A guy who is 50 can still act like he's about 14, so that is just an excuse.
I just date guys that I like. Older/younger it doesn't really matter if I really like them. Of course, I don't get too crazy with the age difference I like to keep it under 5 years different.
So to answer your question, they are confused and don't realize what they want.

I don't think they're necessarily 'better' but as a girl gets older, she starts seeing and thinking about her future. Dating a guy that's older who may have a successful job and may live on his own is an appealing attribute to a girl.
Don't take it personal. When you're older you'll only want to go out with younger girls.

I have always been with someone older. Younger men tend to be too immature for me. And there's nothing like the experience they have in the bedroom. And the young men running around with pants falling off their butts is a real turn off. The young guys of this generation need to get with the program!!

They just think that they're cool for dating an older guy. I'm going into high school this year, and they're sepperating the Freshmen [Me] From all the other grades. So, my friends can't date older guys if they wanted to.

duh dude. girls want mature, stable college types at that age. they think that the older guys will be willing to commit to a serious relationship sooner, without constantly begging for sex. course, they're not in college yet, so they really don't know what they're getting into. high school guys, no offense, i was one a couple years ago, are just a bit immature, for the most part. there are a few exceptions, but the majority define the stereotype.

Funny.
It seems to me that when I was in ninth grade, most of the girls in my class, because they were more mature, were dating upperclassmen. But as years went by, when I was a senior, the guys in my class were the upperclassmen who were dating the freshman girls.
