my best friend has really dark brown hair. she wants it to be lighter. wat would happen if she put lemon juice in it?

If she uses lemon juice, make sure that she uses 100% natural lemon juice. Then spray it on the top of the roots and then down. With the help of the sun, it will lighten her hair! It works. I used to do that every summer.

It would be like putting watered down peroxide in her hair. Like Sun In. All Sun-In is is lemon juice and some more chemicals to make it smell better.

the lemon juice oxide does something to your hair it normally makes it lighter or blonde. like if your hair is really dark and u want it like red or soemthing they have to bleach your hair first and one of the things in the bleach is lemon juice

she'll get a couple highlights trust me they're super cute but annoying to put lemon juice and sit there 4 a hour

It will lighten it up a ton! I tried however it only really works if they stay out in the sun while the juice is in it.

dont do it! it has weird side affects like turn your hair orange and make hair dry or do big time damage to your hair. if she is 18ish then she should just dye it. if not then tell her to wait. she is going through puberty right now and usualy hair gets lighter

It gets lighter but it really dries it out tho so if she do decide to do it make sho she conditions it real good
