i have a 15 month old as well. and try new things like get some things out of the kitchen (pots pans big spoons, etc.) and let him play with that. that seems to entertain my son. have you tried getting some paper and crayons? i tape paper to my sons highchair try and give him a couple of crayons and he has a blast. do you have a baby pool? you can get them relatively cheap. try showing him how to stack big blocks or something. hope this helped

Him being the only child can be a little boring. See if you can get a friend or a family member close to his age he can play with, read to him, try and incorporate him into what youre doing at home if possible. Truly the whole day cant just revolve around him, but you can ease some of his bordom. Read to him (if hell listen, lol) What worked with my boys was Fisher Price's "Little People" Videos. It does something to children theyre age, you might wanna try that. Hope this helps.

That age is tough...getting him to play by himself..is a good thing..maybe get him outside to ride on riding toys..fresh air will wear him out and maybe stop him from being bored...change his toys every so often too...my son one day wants trucks and army guys...*he's almost 3 yrs...and the next day he's doing those wooden puzzles...

Your citys Park and rec dept. maybe they have classes, or a play gym. Make frends with other mothrs with kids your sons age, and meet at the park for a hour or so. Maybe try and organize group of Mommies to meet weekly or every few days and do things, activities

Maybe playgroups, go to the park, educational videos...Arts!!!
Finger paints is great you can make finger paint with corn starch/flour food dye and water. if you dont want to use food dye, use Kool-aid, also you can make play dough also, Flour salt and water.

Join a mother and child group at the local community centre YWCA, library etc. This will help in 2 ways, one to get involved and also to gain tips from others

At 15 months they are still trying to discover anything and everything...not to mention no attention span...just try to keep different types of toys and activities for them...it does get better

Give him a wooden spoon, some pots and pans and tupperware bowls they love to bang on things and hear the different sounds that they make.
