I'm looking for a TOTALLY different surprise (not just a lovely surprise meal, candles etc - nothing so cliché) for my boyfriend - he's spending the next week with me...what can I do that'll make him think, 'I'm gonna marry her!' (we are getting married but you know what I mean, the proud type of thing =)

I just wanna let him know how much I love him! And how great he is.

Do a striptease for him?

Organise a whole day of surprises (I did this for my boyfriend and he still raves about it) - we live in london and I took him for a massage, then to lunch, then to the tower bridge exhibition high over the thames, then ice-skating at Somerset house, then to Tower 42 for champagne, then to a show, then for dinner.

There is plenty of things to do.

Yes, you could cook him an awesome dinner, take him shopping, write it on the wall or whatever. He would appreciate all of those things but in the long run it will be your personality, attraction between you two and compatability that will ultimately seal the deal. He is going to be proud of you no matter what because he chose you.

My h-t-b actually decided it was time when I helped him enroll in college and helped him every night with his homework. I stood by him when everyone else told him to give up his dreams. Now he is done with school, and I am proud of him. I was there for him when he had nothing and now he has what he wants, and i am included in that plan. So me giving up part of myself to make sure he got where he needed to be, only because in the long run it benefits us both is how i made that lasting impression. I can see it in the way he looks at me, talks to me and holds me.

Good luck on your upcoming marriage!

Ok I know that you don't want to do the lovely meal or anything but check out the Glamour web site. It took me a while to find the article for my sister but you have to make this! Its called The Engagement Chicken. Several women have said that when they made it for their bf's they proposed a month or two later. There was an article in fox news about it! Give it a try who knows?!
Here is the link, its funny!

You can get him a day of driving a fantasy car. I hear its pricy, but what guy wouldn't like to spend the day driving around in the car of his dreams! And for him to know that YOU did it for him would make him very proud to marry you!

Think of something that he really enjoys doing that isn't particularly appealing to you. Set up a time/way to go do it together. For example, maybe he really likes camping or paintball or watching some sport. Be creative.
