Malaysia is very alright... I was there last year, unfortunately I only had 2 days. KL is an ultra-modern city with many restaurants and shopping areas, I always felt safe and had a good time there.

Malaysia is on my list of places to go to especially Kuala Lumpar. It is very safe there normally, but the way the World is today you cannot guarantee safety anywhere.
