I tend to agree with Jessie. If I was looking for a resonably price decent scope I would look at Bushnel, they have many entry level scopes that are clear, tough, and durable. As a matter of fact my 300mag still has a Bushnel Trophy that only cost me $150 and has held up beautifully for over ten years and still going.

Yes they are, and relatively low priced. A 3-9x40 should work very well for your Ruger .308 Win.

Tasco's are the Ford Or chevy of the scope world. Not pricey, or special. They get the job done for most shooters most of the time. Like cars, the more you pay, the better they get.

Tasco makes good entry level scopes, but not great ones. It really depends on what you are trying to do with your firearm.
My 02. spend the money on a better, more durable scope.

They're ok, but not my first choice. You should probably expect to pay between $200 to $400 for a descent scope and $500+ for an excellent one.

They are not bad...but they are not great either....I would go witha Bushnell...if you are looking for a good scope at a reasonalbe price. Leapuld is also a good brand at a reasoable price. I own both and I have no complaints about either.

If you spent that much on the rifle, don't buy a pos scope.
