Wow, that all depends on how much you want to pay.
If you have about $600.00 or more, I'd go with a name brand like Yamaha or Denon or Pioneer. The picture on these is amazing.
If you want to spend between $90 and $200, any DVD player they sell at Costco or Best Buy is a good find. Picture quality won't really matter if you're hooking up to a regular tube TV, but if you have a flat screen HD or high end TV, I'd go with the more expensive brands and GET NICE CABLES (like Monster Cables) for your hook up.
Hope that's not too confusing!

Usually your big name companies like Sony, HP, Pioneer are always out front. But its just a matter of your budget. What ever you do please do not buy an Apex, or Cyberhome...they are crap. But for standard playback of movies any of those names would do. Oh also Panasonic, RCA, and Emerson are pretty good brands.
Usually the more you pay the better the product.

Which is better Ford or Chevy?? Unless you have a really high end TV or audio setup you will see little or no difference in any of them. In most cases just stay with decent quality, good warranty and a store that will be there next week.
