-For the 'absolute beginner' the website ''http://www.languageguide.org/'' gives a free comprehensive guide to the grammar, vocabulary and accent of the french language. All the lessons are filled with words which when hovered over, are acompanied by the sound of the word and it's spelling in english.
-The vocabulary section of the website presents the words initally in picture form, once again hovering over the pictures will produce the spoken version of the words.
-As you progress from the most basic starting blocks of the language you will find that the site allows you to attempt readings in french whereby the work is read out to you. As you follow the speaking you may hover over the script in front of you to get a quick translation as you are reading over the words.
-By the way this site is totally free and also has a burgeoning section to do with spanish, italian and german among other languages.
-This site is by far and away the best I have seen for the french language and presents the relevant infomation better than most text books. The site is also run by volunteers, who deserve a great deal of thanks for what they have given the internet.
-Learning a language is a skill that will benefit you for the rest of your life and I wish you good luck. Remember to take it slow and do a small amount every day. To get you motivated, here are some quotations:
-''The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step''
-''It's one small step for man etc.''
-''Just do it'' (thank you Nike)
