Pigeons are invincible. The 'dead' ones you do see on streets are just pretending. After you walk away, they get straight back up again and start cooing.

because they're smart birds.
they've been around long enough to know their way of living & lifestyle.
dead pidgeons don't go anywhere. where ever they die, they'll stay there. unless cars run them over or they get swept up by the street cleaning people.
pidgeons are actually smart birds, & we don't give them enough credit.

i'm a chimney sweep so used to this variety of component! I now and again might want to eliminate cooked birds, at the same time as the customer has positioned their fireplace on! you want to get a sweep to eliminate it - they use ideal chimney rods and a particular attachment to arise with the chicken so it falls down. Then they'll sweep the flue with a broom to eliminate the different.....matter...that must be left in the back of. once you've rods, do it your self. They value round £70 - 80 with out brushes. verify to work out if it must be more cost-effective to get a sweep to do it. it ought to correctly be, and also you'll comprehend that is finished proper. There also must be a nest, which needs yet another variety of brush attachment, and sweeping chimneys is extremely exertions if you're no longer used to it. you ought to lose brushes up the flue, so extremely - don;t do it your self till you comprehend what you're doing!!!!!

Pigeons are actually very careful about treating their dead. They have special hiding places to go when they feel ill. Pigeons are good about this.

Where are all the dead rats? Likewise, usually you don't see rats just lying dead. They go to their favourite dying places.

This, and pigeons and rats are much better at avoiding collisions than dogs, cats, turtles, possums, armadillos, and the like. You might say, they're more street smart.

I always wonder why birds don't just fall out of the sky onto us. My mum said they know they're going to die, so they don't fly, but humans drop dead without knowing it's going to happen, why should birds be any different? The animal kingdom's full of mysteries. You rarely see any kind of dead animal unless it's domestic, or has been killed.

I really don't know the answer to your question, but I have often wondered about this kind of thing.

Most likely the local street cleaners pick them up. If you have alot of foxes in the area they will eat them too.

local authorities cleansing dept.

'cos the council pick them up when cleaning the streets, or if they're in a quiet place that isn't cleaned often, then rats usually eat the carcass.
