I too have long thick hair, what helps me is to by a good quality shampo& conditioner, then apply a leave in conditioner and apply a smoothing serum, not gel, or anything else but a serum , then blow dry or use a ceramic straightener.A good style cut that worked for me was to get it spliced and layered heavily , giving emphasis to your hair style not the thick hair, it looks sexy and very kool. You can also do it up, or do many different styles with this type of style cut.

i also have thick hair that gets frizzy. get some long layers it will help get rid of some of the bulkiness. also try a serum. i use brilliant brunettes gloss. it helps to tame the frizz especially in the heat and humidity just dont use too much or your hair will get greasy.

I think the reason your hair gets frizzy, is that you have too much hair. I suggest thinning out your hair with thinning shears or to straighten you hair with a ceramic hair straightener and also using John Freida's Frizz Serum.

mine is pretty thick and curly/wavy. medium length and i had it cut in three layers. that will take some of the volume off. about the frizz...i use pantene, the new shampoo and conditioner they just started selling. advanced therapy for damaged hair. makes my hair super soft and no frizz!

Have it layered and highlighted. It will be soft and managable.
