Was anyone ever saved in the bible without being baptized? If so, please explain how we could be in that same situation. O, and I know its not the baptizim only, i believe its in conjunction as a whole process.

Before Jesus died on the cross, people had to give a sacrifice to God. They had to sacrifice a pure animal. for example a lamb. For forgiveness of your sins.

Once Jesus died the old ways went away. Now to be saved you must repent (pray to god for forgiveness), and be baptized for the forgiveness of sins. You whole body must be submerged under the water to wash away all your sins.

I hope this answers your question. msbrainard1@yahoo.com

Contrary to the beliefs of some Christian denominations, water baptism does not save. Nowhere in the New Testament does it say that you must be immersed in water to be saved. Salvation is by faith alone. In Mark 16:16, the baptism that Jesus refers to is the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This baptism brings on the anointing that every Christian needs in order to serve God and enter into heaven. Water baptism is a public declaration of a person's personal relationship with Christ.

A water baptism is like pointing out that someone is a Christian. Lack of a baptism doesn't mean damnation like some simple and unfair rule. The Lord's arm is not too short to save.

"This only One and very Self is omnipresent, omniscient and omnipotent. This also every Christian acknowledges from his doctrine and every gentile from his religion. In consequence, wherever he is, a man thinks that God is there and that he prays to God at hand; thinking and praying so, men cannot but think that God is everywhere, that is, omnipresent [in all places at all times]; likewise omniscient [all knowing] and omnipotent [all powerful]. Everyone praying to God, therefore, implores Him from the heart to lead him because He can lead him; thus he acknowledges the divine omnipresence, omniscience and omnipotence, doing so in turning his face to the Lord; thereupon the truth flows in from the Lord" (Divine Providence n. 157).

I believe its Peter that records what Jesus did after he died on the cross. He says Jesus went to hell, not as a subject but to free the people there who had not hardened their hearts to God. There were only 8 who hadn't and were subsequently lifted up to heaven. Now the question is, can you live in to days world without the blessing of Babtism that reminds you that you are subserviant to what God wants, over what the world wants? If you can, then fine, don't get Babtised

Baptism is a physical sign that Christians use to reaffirm what we believe. The salvation of a soul likely doesn't hinge on a physical action, which could just as easily be done with an insincere heart.

God will judge each of us by what is in our hearts, and how we lived our life.

The thief on the cross was not baptized. Baptism is an outward show of an inward experience. In a sense, it is showing the world that you have died with Christ and risen again spiritually. I do believe in baptism and I don't think it should be taken so lightly we disregard it.

The thief on the cross is one such example. Some scholars say that the baptism Jesus did was not for his sins and repentance but Just like His death he died for sinners He also baptized as an example to us and for those who did or could not be baptized but were genuine in their faith.
