Yes, both have properties that assist in burning fat. But using nothing but these will send your body into starvation mode and you won't lose any weight at all.

Ultimately, there are a lot of things out there that can help, but you lose weight one way: Use more calories than you eat. No rocket science there. Exercise and eat right, period.

green tea, just like any other tea, is a good diuretic, meaning it makes you lose excess water weight. green tea is also full of antioxidants that are good for your body. as far as grapefruit, i dont know for sure....but i know that lemons are also a natural diuretic. so if youre looking to lose a few pounds of water i would try drinking green tea as well as water with lemon in it...both will keep you on the toilet for a long time because you will be urinating alot more than normal, but it may help you to feel less 'puffy.'

Green Tea will probably just dehydrate you... Have half a grapefruit in the morning for breakfast and it will kickstart your metabolism for the day, but as a general rule you aren't going to lose weight by eating.

Not alone, but it's good for you. You also have to eat well and exercise.
